*** Official June 2020 ***

Hi everyone. We were booked for March 22-28 but obviously had to cancel. We are now going June 13-19. I had perfect ADRs and everything set the way I wanted. Now I’m starting over. :sad1: We’ve never been in June...wondering what to expect for weather and crowds...

Welcome-I also was on the March board-one of the lucky ones who made it as my trip was the first week in March. We are going again for a convention in June, the month in which we have been to Disney the most often. We will be there the 19-23. I think the June crowds have been lower than the Spring Break groups, at least the last few years. It is hot, but when we were there last week, two days topped 90. The humidity is worse, but not as bad as when we were there after Labor Day last year, and it rains mid day nearly every day, but usually not for an extended period. We use that time to go back to the resorts for a break anyway. Looking at three different crowd calendars, you can expect crowds to be in the 6-8 range most days, rather than the 10's of Spring Break and Christmas-New Years. Like most other times of the year, we try for 3FP's in the mornings beginning the hour after the park is scheduled to open , do shows or less than E ticket attractions if we are there between 1130-4, which is rare, and add fast passes for late afternoon-evenings when we can. There are no parties or festivals though, which we enjoy.

Ha! My day is the 28th of April.
I'm already looking to see if I can get a sub for my class that day and schedule a doctor's appointment. Two birds, one stone. I'm also West Coast tho, so 4 am is a big difference.

We are also trying for RAT, with a FEA rope drop. We're secretly hoping TT will move to Tier 2 once RAT goes live lol.

At MK we'll likely FP Haunted Mansion, Splash, and Big Thunder. We also plan on doing the Map Game for a Pirates FP, and have PPO breakfast at BOG to ride 7DMT.

We are CA DLand locals, and will have already done Rise (and HAVE already done the rest of SWGE) here, so we're just going to take a tour to spot differences and build a droid in HS. Our priorities are SDD, MMRR, Tower of Terror (OH HOW WE MISS IT!!!) and RNRc. We would also like a ressie at Woody's Roundup if its open (reports suggest its coming along rather fast).

AK. SO said heck no to FOP. We both get pretty bad motion sickness, I can't even ride Soarin'.
So we want: Dinosaur, Everest, and Kali River. We will rope drop Safari first thing.

We are also hoping to see the Creperie in EPCOT!! If it is open. We also secretly hope BG will be gone so we can not fight the crazy crowds

I had the same idea. I think I will go ahead and schedule the day off and make a doctor's appointment for the same day in the afternoon for myself or my daughter. I had to cancel my dental cleaning recently, so I will try for it.

I'm another west coaster and our FP day is April 8. DS 12 and I are traveling with our best friends (and leaving grumpy pants DH home because he hates Disney vacations), and we've decided to have a slumber party with my son and I sleeping over at our friends' house and we'll all get up crazy early and work on FP selection together. I'm a substitute teacher, so I just blacked out that day on my calendar to have a day off. Not sure yet if I will be merciful to my son and give him a "mental health day" off from school, but we'll see how it goes. He's only missed 2 days of school all year and is an A student, so one day off won't hurt him. He might decide he needs to go to school anyway because he hates missing anything.

I haven't been to WDW since 2005, and the rest of the group has never been there, so we're going to focus on the non-DLR attractions, with the exception of all things Star Wars because the other family are all massive SW geeks. We've got a PPO ADR at BOG one day, and we decided that our general plan will be EMH/rope drop in the mornings, then break for the afternoon, then back to a different park for the evening (incl evening EMH some nights). The accountant in our group is having a blast with creating spreadsheets and mapping out high priority rides for each day, so I honestly have not idea which days we're FP what rides, but she does and she'll assign us all our tasks when we get close to April 8th!

Your plan to stay with your friend and get up early to make the FP selections sounds like fun! And it sounds like she is having a blast creating your spreadsheets for ADRs and Fast passes.

WOOT! I was able to book my Feb 2021 trip this past weekend!! I've NEVER EVER EVER been able to have 2 Disney trips on the books at the same time! This is amazing to me!

My FP+ date is 35 days away and I'm still wondering and a little nervous on what HS will look like and if they'll still have GB active!!

I have a friend who is supposed to be going to Disney the first part of April but its specifically to see her niece and her band be in the parade but now they're afraid the school will cancel the trip and therefore her trip is cancelled..

ARGH!
My original return to WDW was suppose to happen in December/January when I planned a trip to coincide with my daughter's band trip. The band trip got cancelled. I already had the Disney Bug so I just rescheduled for June/July. Maybe, your friend can do the same. I think I might actually save a bit of money because now I am only paying for a family trip and not my daughter's band trip and the trip for us.

So many changes, and now new things to ponder for our June trip:

I'm a little worried that June could end up being a lot more crowded than it already is if a lot of the people rescheduling their spring break trips choose to go right after school gets out instead. Not much we can do about that other than just knowing things could be even more packed than we anticipated.

And then to add to that concern, we're scheduled to fly out the day after school gets out, but there's also a chance that our district will end up closing the schools and they'll extend school into the summer by however long they end up being closed. So if that happens we have to decide if we just go ahead with the trip as planned and pull the kids out for the end of the school year, or if we reschedule the trip entirely. Honestly, they're both honor roll students who have missed very few days of school, so missing the last x-number of days won't hurt them, but I know they would be bummed to miss out on the end of the school year events that usually happen.

Then again, who knows what will be going on by June...so I'm trying to not worry about it. Sigh. This is my first trip back in 15 years, and a first trip ever to WDW for the rest of the group. Really hope we can pull it off.

I agree with you. So many changes and new things thrown into the planning of this trip. Like you, I have not been in awhile, though for me it has only been six years. But still so many new things to try to see and experience it is hard to decide what are priorities are as we have not seen Pandora, Toy Story Land, Galaxy's Edge, and all the changes and additions to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom (7 Dwarfs Mine Train).

And I first had the trip planned for Dec/Jan, switched to early June and then switched again to last week of June/first of July to take advantage of the free dining and to give more time so that hopefully RAT will be open when we are there. I was already worried about going the week leading into the fourth of July and now even more people will be rescheduling their trips to the summer. I am really sorry and feel for everyone that has trips planned for March and further into Spring because of all the closures, uncertainty and cancellations that many are having to do. So much planning goes into a normal trip and then all this just ups the pressure and makes it harder to plan a trip.

I am beginning to think, maybe, I too should just reschedule it for sometime next year instead.

Hello Juners! We are joining your group from the March 2020 group, after a quick hello and exit in the October 2020 group. Ha! It has been a wild 24-48 hours. We were originally scheduled to leave on March 19th but as we all know that won't be happening. :) We picked a date in October, reserved our stay and then learned from American Airlines later this afternoon that we have to use our new tickets by the end of August. So....June it is! We will be staying at CBR preferred room from June 18-26. I just finished all of our ADRs tonight which freaked me out knowing these had been open for awhile. Thankfully, we got all of our previous dining reservations with the exception of an Ohana dinner and Beaches and Cream. Now, if I can only get all of my amazing FP back when these open up....... :) :) :)
I'm with you! The past couple June's have been really nice crowd wise and I'm now worried our June trip is going to be way more crowded! However, as long as the virus is gone and we're still able to go, I'll be happy and will deal with whatever crowds end up being!

I love seeing all my March friends joining June! If it makes you feel any better I did my dining reservations last night and I got everything back at the exact same times except for Ohana and Beaches and Cream. I've got these set up to receive text messages if they open up. If they don't, I'm ok with skipping them. At least we will still have a fair shot at FPs. I hope I get all the ones I had before. I was able to snag a MMRR as soon as the news went public!

Hello, March now June friend! I’m glad you got some good ADRs! I got Ohana Breakfast, but lost BOG, Beaches and Cream, and Sci-Fi. 😔 Oh well. I also had a great FOP fastpass time and a good MFSR time, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can get close again.

I think it seems right now like a lot of people are rescheduling for June, but I’m not sure that’s the case. For every person who can reschedule, another person won’t be able to. We were going to be traveling with family next week, but they can’t go in June and won’t be able to travel this year. It is what it is.

And not even a day later, I have already changed my mind. I’m slaying at the POP. I’ve never stayed there so I am excited.
My plans are for us to stay at POP for the first time too! I think my kids will really enjoy it and it will give us the chance to experience the Skyliner!
Have fun planning

You are right. Many peoples' plans will be changing for various reasons. Some will opt for later times in the year or cancel altogether. I am glad you were able to get some decent ADRs. It is a bummer that you had the MFSR Fastpass that you will have to try to get again.

Is anyone else getting nervous about their June trip...or are we all being optimistic that things will be back to business as usual.
I'm wondering the same thing. We're staying DVC and haven't bought tickets or airfare yet, now I'm hesitant to do either. :confused3 I am hopeful that in 12 weeks we could be in a much better place but also knowing worst case scenario would end our trip. I think we're at a wait and see point.

We were booked for March and have moved it to June 16th - 27th, ASMo. I'm hoping this one sticks! If we do June we will most likely cancel our August trip but since I can still get back my deposit for August I'm going to hold out.

I’m definitely nervous. I started feeling concerned yesterday, and given continuing news coverage I’m not confident at all. I don’t have another time to go. We have camps and other commitments in July and August. The only other time we can go for a week is between Christmas and New Years and we can’t afford that.

So far I have somewhat of a plan.

June 25 (Thursday)
I land at 4pm. I'll take Magical Express to the POP and settle in
Dinner: Beaches and Cream @ 7:35pm. I'll take Lyft there.

June 26
MK day
Dinner ADR @ Be Our Guest
I'll possibly attend the Villains after hours event

June 27
EPCOT day
Dinner ADR @ Nine Dragons
This day is kind of up in the air. I may just do EPCOT until around 3 and then go to my room and refresh before going to Disney Springs for the evening. Not sure.

June 28
AK day
Dinner ADR @ Rainforest Café

June 29
HS day
no ADRs as of yet
I am excited to do RotR and Toy Story Land

We are June 12-19, also getting nervous about a good time to reschedule. If the kids end up missing 3 months of in-classroom school this year, I don't necessarily want to take them out of school next year...

I think just about any time is going to be more crowded now. I've seen people rescheduling to June, July, August, Oct, and Nov mostly.
And then to add to that concern, we're scheduled to fly out the day after school gets out, but there's also a chance that our district will end up closing the schools and they'll extend school into the summer by however long they end up being closed.
We are scheduled to leave the Thursday after school gets out (school is out the Wednesday of the week before but I'm a teacher so I work til Friday). So far we are doing digital learning days but I really keep encouraging my students to log on and complete the assignments because if they don't we may have to extend.

June 11-22nd on points. Split stay, Poly, BW, AKL. I just checked for August- or late july to august. I could still do it (Studio is what we have- as it's just 2 of us) but I could do AKL the whole time or possible split Poly and AKL. Nothing at BC or BW. Saratoga and OKW are open. I'm gonna keep holding out hope, but something tells me they start reopening around Memorial Day weekend. Looking at Shanghai...they started reopening about 10 days ago, but they are still not actually open.......
That all said- even a less than perfect trip to WDW at a less than perfect time is better than the alternative while so many have nothing to be thankful for. I still plan to book my FP's in a few weeks.

I'm in a weird position because we have a 4 trips booked for the next 5 months. My most recent would be 4/1-4/5 which I doubt will happen so that one will most likely be cancelled. Then we have an adults only 4/23-4/26. I may book a back up for that one the beginning of May. Then we have May 29-June 7, then July 2-6. We will probably just extend our July trip if we cancel April 1-April 5 because my husband will cancel his time off and can move it to July. We also are planning to book Oct Fall Break and Thanksgiving week.

My check in is May 31st. It’s just surreal not knowing if it will actually happen or not. We are all paid up and going if it’s open, but it’s scary right now.
