Don’t Know If She’s Elated or Gassy: Disney World with a Newborn, Feb 2020. Day TR UPDATE 9/18

How's everyone holding up? I started April on nap training this week! She so far has taken pretty much all of her naps on top of me or my husband, and as we quickly approach the four month sleep regression (she turned 3 months on Saturday; she's so much huger than in these trip photos already!), I want her to have a good foundation for sleep if I can. So far it's going okay! We get about two naps in the crib, the rest so far are on me, but I'll increase the number of crib naps as she gets used to sleeping in there. She cries for about 5-15 minutes, then passes out for 30-45 minutes, or thereabouts. It's hurting my heart to not be able to take her to Disney or well, anywhere, but we're getting through it as well as I could have hoped for.

Day 3 Part 2: New friends. Big ears. Much snoozing.

After lunch, we made our way over to the UK. We checked the times board to see who was meeting next, and discovered it was Alice. Perfect. We wanted April to meet either Alice or Mary Poppins and weren’t too picky, but I thought Alice sounded like more fun, so we got in line.

We waited about 20 minutes for our turn, which wasn’t bad considering we got in line before Alice was even out.

It was a cute interaction. Alice was very sweet. April pretty much slept through the meet lol. There wasn’t a Photopass photographer so my dad took the pictures.

Next up was the meet I was most looking forward to: Snow White!

Snow White is my favorite princess, at least of the ones you can meet. I’d prepared a cute Snow White outfit for April, which you can kind of see in the Alice photos, but I got some better ones while we were waiting for Snow.

Wcw5eyD.jpg

The headband was a bit too large for her. Hopefully it’s not too small when we are able to go back to the parks. The onesie, however, is definitely too small now. It was almost too small on that day.

I’d say from the time we got in line until the time we met Snow was about 25-30 minutes. Not bad.

It was a very nice meet! Snow of course compared April to Sleepy, maybe Grumpy once she started to rouse. We got some great Photopass pictures and my dad took some as well!

After that it was time for a change, mostly because she’d had a blowout poop. Oops! But I changed her into an outfit that was more appropriate for our next meet.

Dad wasn’t interested in standing in line for the next one, and there would definitely be Photopass there, so he elected to go get some Starbucks for us while Rebekah and I waited to see Anna and Elsa.

The line was about half an hour long. It looked packed but moved relatively quickly.

One thing I want to mention here is that up until this point in the trip, Rebekah had not held April once. She was nervous to. So if you’ve ever been in the Anna and Elsa m&g line before, you may know that one of the switchback dividers is actually a table with chairs. Rebekah sat down in one of them and I asked if she would like to take this opportunity to hold April.

M1WjvcN.jpg

I don’t know about you, but this picture just about melts my heart!

When we were about halfway through the line, Dad showed up with the Starbucks drinks. I had expected him to wait outside the line for us, but I guess he decided to join us. It was nice to have my caffeine boost!

Soon enough, we were led into a room to meet the sisters themselves. I hadn’t expected them to be meeting in their Frozen II garb. I hadn’t been a huge fan of the second movie so I was a tad disappointed. I’d been looking forward to seeing them in their iconic clothes.

Still, they were both as lovely as can be, fawning over April for being the littlest snowflake. She seemed most interested in Elsa. The bright colors must have caught her attention. Rebekah got to show off her Olaf hoodie, which you can kind of see in the pictures, though it’s best viewed with the hood up (it looks like his face).

When we left the room, I realized I had left my Starbucks drink in there! I contemplated letting it go, but Dad encouraged me to go back for it since I’d only drank a third. I went to the cast member manning the register at the dump shop, and she had to find another cast member to help me. I wasn’t allowed to go back into the room with Anna and Elsa, but they were able to retrieve it for me. I suppose they want to keep guests out of that area as much as possible to maintain the illusion that there is only one room with Anna and Elsa.

After that was done, Rebekah did some browsing in the shop, and then Dad was eager to get to his favorite pavilion for his favorite treat. He absolutely loves the maple popcorn in Canada. I love it too, but his love for it can only be described as transcendent. He was disappointed in me though, because I’d left our popcorn bucket at home. I suggested he buy a new bucket, and that he be responsible for it from now on, because frankly after three trips with the same bucket, it was becoming too much to remember to bring it every trip. You wouldn’t think it would be an issue, but it was, and since he was the one who always wanted the popcorn, I was happy to put the onus on him.

We also took this opportunity to watch the new movie in Canada. I had been excited at first to learn that the new narrators would be two Canadian comedians: Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, but disappointed to learn that it wouldn’t be comedic like the previous movie. And I was pretty much as let down as I thought I would be, unfortunately. I think actual Canadians will be happy to hear that it features more of Canada than the previous film did, which is good, but I didn’t find it as entertaining. I guess there’s always that balance to strike. But the previous one with Martin Short was an attraction I never got tired of, and I can’t say I’ll be rushing back to this one.

Anyway, enough Canada bashing.

I had been originally hoping to stay at the park until the fireworks, but it was still a couple of hours until the show and we weren’t sure that any of us was up to that wait. So we decided to head out and catch the fireworks another night. It was the only nighttime show we were interested in, so we could come back any time to see them. Theoretically. More on that later in the report…

Up next: Our Polynesian evening!

I'm a little late to this party but have enjoyed reading your TR. Hope you are doing ok stuck at home with the baby these days!

I am an "actual" Canadian lol but sadly we didn't have time on our last trip in March (which was cut short) to see this film. It's too bad it was disappointing and not funny - with those two actors you would think it would be funny. Have you seen the show Schitt's Creek? (Featuring Eugene Levy and Catherine O'hara and also Eugene's son Daniel Levy? I just binged all 6 seasons and it's awesome (also I love all the Canada references) but also just some very good writing. I definitely hope to see this new show on our next trip...but that's really too bad!

Thank you! We're doing pretty well all things considered.

I have heard of Schitt's Creek. I really should check it out! I knew they were both in that, which is why I was so surprised that the new show isn't funny.

Good luck with the rest of the nap training! My DGD is 21 months and will only sleep with her mom; in bed with mom and until 2 months ago, ON mom!

Love April's Snow White outfit 🍎 and lol to the "blowout"! It's been years but I still remember those days. And very sweet that your sister felt comfortable holding the baby, I'm sure it was a big moment for you both:goodvibes

Thanks! It's going okay so far. I've only had to rescue her once. But we're due to hit the dreaded four month sleep regression very soon so we'll see what that does to our progress.

Day 3, Part 3: No Crying Over Spilt Milk

We headed on out and got on a monorail to the TTC. We shared a monorail car with a really cute couple of kids and their mom. Unfortunately I’ve forgotten a lot of the details; my notes just say they were cute. I know they were really sassy and funny and they told us all about their day. They were also going back to the Polynesian, as they were staying there as well (or maybe going to Ohana? I can no longer remember, but they were definitely going to the Poly). They didn’t know about the walk from the TTC to the resort, so I told them they were more than welcome to follow us. I feel like a lot of people don’t know about the walkway, even people staying at the resort! They weren’t the first people I escorted from the TTC to the Poly, that’s for sure.

We got to the resort, parted ways with our temporary friends, and went up to Tokelau. We hadn’t eaten dinner yet. Rebekah wanted to just eat her leftovers from our lunch at Captain Cook’s on the first day, and Dad wasn’t too hungry so he planned to eat some snacks from the Amazon order. I, however, wanted something fresh. So we got Rebekah situated, and then Dad, April and I went to the GCH. He wanted to take care of something with his magic band (get his card set up, I think), and I went to Captain Cook’s to get some coconut meatballs to go, which I apparently did not get a picture of.

I also got a big pastry for my dessert. And decided I wouldn’t share it! I was hungry.

P56L9ab.jpg

Back in the room, I ate my dinner and nursed April a bit.

Here’s a paragraph that will be only interesting to moms who nurse or will in the future: During our session, I took out my haakaa to get some extra milk, since Dad wanted the chance to feed her at some point in the trip. If you don’t know about a haakaa, it’s basically a cup you use to catch milk on one side while feeding on the other. Not quite a pump, which I’m not comfortable using without a reason since I don’t want an oversupply. It’s a neat tool! Anyway, I got a few ounces of milk, and then went to transfer them to a bottle to put in the fridge. But I didn’t put the bottle pieces together correctly, and the milk spilled right out the bottom! I was so upset. They say don’t cry over spilled milk and I didn’t, but it was definitely disappointing since I knew it would be at least a few hours before I could get that much from a haakaa again, and by that point I’d be sleeping.

Anyway, once I got over my devastation, DH called on Facetime to wish us goodnight. We didn’t talk about anything momentous, but during the call April made a cute face, and unbeknownst to the other at the moment we both took a screenshot at the exact same second.

After that, we were all tired and ready for bed. Tomorrow was a very important day, though, because DH was coming over!

Up next: Daddy comes to visit

Your pastry looked really yummy!! Coconut meatballs...sounds interesting!!

I can totally relate to crying over spilt milk...my kids are teenagers now, but I still remember how hard breastfeeding was and how every ounce is blood sweat and tears!! I feel for you!

She’s such a cutie! I didn’t take my kids at that stage wasn’t sure how much they would get from it... plus all the stuff you have to have for babies! No judgement here :-):-):-):-):-) That being said we are taking our youngest granddaughter in 2021 she will be three 😊😊😊

They're so good. I should make them at home. It's meatballs in a coconut curry sauce over rice.

Yeah I don't blame anyone for waiting! It was a lot of work. But I'm glad we did it all the same. I don't think I have it in me to regret a Disney trip lol.

Such cute pictures with the characters - especially Snow White. Love the head gear. Also, what a cute one of your sister holding your baby. For having a baby in tow, it seems like you're able to get in a lot of park time. Don't blame you for leaving Epcot early for some rest and relaxation in your room. Next your DH joins the party!

I'm really surprised at how much park time we got in! I think it's because she was so content to snooze in the sling most of the time.

Day 4 (Saturday, February 29), Part 1: Living that Island Life

We had a pretty early wake-up this morning, around 8, because we had another breakfast reservation!

I love breakfast. I love Disney breakfast reservations. My family does not like getting up early though, and so I am forced to torture them in order to get breakfast at Disney.

Is it worth it? Well, I get breakfast, don’t I? That’s all that matters.

We made our way over to the GCH for our reservation and checked in. We got a very nice waitress who was super nice and accommodating. We all decided to try the coffee, because we were told it was the “best coffee on Disney property,” and I had convinced my dad to go on that promise. But I forgot that the Kona coffee they serve you from a regular pot is different from the pressed Kona coffee. If I can manage to convince him to go again, I’ll have to remember that, because he was not impressed by the regular coffee. In addition to being a beer snob, he is also a coffee snob.

VdXO8fo.jpg

You might recall he doesn’t eat pork, so his options here were a little limited. He noticed there was a plant-based version of the loco moco, but he wasn’t interested in the plant-based eggs, just the sausage, so he asked if he could get the vegan sausage but real eggs. At first they brought it out with the plant-based eggs as well, but that was quickly remedied.

pixefQi.jpg

My sister got the Polynesian Egg Platter. I think she enjoyed it! It’s got eggs, fruit, a muffin, potatoes, and a meat option.

AzJlcgr.jpg

I usually get the Samoan, but I had been craving Tonga Toast for a long time, especially since I had gestational diabetes in the latter half of my pregnancy and couldn’t have anything like it. So I decided to indulge. I ate every last bite of that sucker.

mNDBUlJ.jpg

I also got a POG mimosa (can’t remember the formal name). Rebekah got one too, and I continuously reminded her that if she didn’t drink it, I would happily take it off her hands.

5wuypBW.jpg

April slept for the whole meal. Since Dad’s dish needed to be redone, that actually provided a good opportunity for us to switch off. He held her while I ate, and then when his food came I was done eating, so I held her while he ate. Teamwork!

After breakfast we went back to the room and got into our swim gear. I decided against putting April in her suit, though, as it was still pretty chilly out. I didn’t even plan to go into the pool myself, just the hot tub. Of course, Dad helped with the baby while I got ready.

QsNDG8y.jpg

Rebekah didn’t want to do either, so she graciously held April while Dad and I sat in the hot tub. Luckily, April mostly slept. I got out a few times to feed her and give Rebekah a break, but other than that I got to chill out in a hot tub for the first time since being pregnant!

Since our room was in Tokelau, we were at the Oasis quiet pool, which is our go-to spot. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working properly. It was plenty warm but the bubbles weren’t coming out right. They’d come out a little bit at the start of the cycle, and then pretty much stop, with little sputters every once in awhile. Not long after we got in, a cast member named Heather came by and was visibly upset that the bubbles weren’t working. She said she was going to call someone over to fix it, and to make sure they understood that it was working only intermittently, because she said they had a tendency to observe it, see that it was kind of working every once in awhile, and declare it fixed. We assured her we wanted it working properly as well! Sadly, it never ended up really being fixed during our visit, but we enjoyed the warm water all the same.

We also ordered some poolside food and drinks, because when at the Poly, that’s just what you do. I think I got a Banana Cabana, which is Cruzan Mango Rum, Coruba Coconut Rum, Bols Crème de Banana with Orange and Pineapple Juices and a float of Grenadine. My dad got a lime dole whip with rum. I think Rebekah got an iced tea.

qkEd9tA.jpg

euu442z.jpg

I also ordered some fish tacos, which were amazing.

OOgQtZB.jpg

Around the time they arrived, Alex texted to let me know he was on his way. About half an hour later, he was in the DVC parking lot, so I went over to meet him and bring him to the pool.

First thing he asked was, “Where’s our baby?” XD

I let him into the pool area. We all spent another couple hours taking turns being in the hot tub and watching April. At one point, I tried to get her to wear her sun hat, but she wasn’t going for it.

REz1bgm.jpg

So I wore it instead. How do I look? Pretty chic, right? Maybe I’ll start a trend.

0toXfTp.jpg

DH ordered a drink as well (can’t remember what) as well as some wontons to snack on.

While at the pool, we also discussed dinner plans. Usually we don’t make any ADR’s in advance, and instead pick something the day of. It limits our options severely so I don’t know why we do it, but we can usually find something we’re all happy with at one of the resorts or Disney Springs. Today, however, there was nothing. No good options.

“Not even The Edison???” my father lamented. I don’t know what world he lives in where Edison ADR’s are third-rate, but I’d like to live there.

“No, but we can always just show up and see if there’s a wait,” I said. And if they couldn’t seat us, it’s not like Disney Springs has any shortage of options for food. But I did really want a table service meal. On the other hand, I didn’t want to bounce from restaurant to restaurant. Still, you could do worse than playing dining roulette.

We left the pool around 5 pm, and went back to the room to change. Would we get the table we wanted tonight? And more importantly…how would we get to Disney Springs? Stay tuned!

A relaxing day so far! Hope you're able to find a good dining option. It's so crazy to make dining reservations 6 mos. in advance - who knows that far ahead what they'll be hungry for??

So, you’re the opposite of us 🤣. My Frozen fans would have been devastated if Elsa hadn’t been in her elemental costume and Anna dressed as the queen!

I know, it's nuts! I'm lucky my family tends to prefer less popular options anyway, but The Edison is a big exception.

So, you’re the opposite of us 🤣. My Frozen fans would have been devastated if Elsa hadn’t been in her elemental costume and Anna dressed as the queen!

Ha! It's a gorgeous costume, but after seven years of the blue Let it Go dress, I'm just so used to it!

Day 4, Part 2: Run, Rachel, Run!

As I hinted at, the big question of the evening was how would we get to Disney Springs. We had two options, each with their own pros and cons.

We could take the car. Pros included being able to leave when we wanted and not having to wait for a bus. Cons included not being able to bring Rebekah’s scooter, at least one person having to be a DD, and dealing with parking on a Saturday night.

Bus pros included no driving or parking, and con of course was that we’d have to wait.

We decided to take our chances with the bus. The bus time monitor was still not working, so we were in limbo. When we got to the Polynesian bus stop, there was a bus there, but it was for Hollywood Studios. We waited awhile, maybe ten minutes, and there was no sign of a Disney Springs bus. In fact, busses that night seemed rather sparse in general. We decided it was probably a better idea to switch to the car, but we didn’t have the car keys. So I proposed that I would go back to the room and get them. Of course the question was raised, what if the bus for Disney Springs came while I was gone? But the way I saw it, our room in Tokelau was close enough that if I ran, I could make it back before the bus left even if it came right after I ran off.

So I did.

And guess what happened when I got back?

There still hadn’t been a Disney Springs bus!

By this point, we were getting antsy. So we decided to cut our losses and take the car. I can’t remember what we did with Rebekah’s scooter. We must have either dropped it off back in Tokelau, or maybe we had decided not to bring it to Disney Springs in the first place. Either way we couldn’t have had it in the car because it didn’t fold.

I drove us to Disney Springs, and parked in Orange Garage. I usually favor Lime, but since Orange is closer to The Edison, and most other restaurants we might consider if that didn’t work out, it seemed like the better option tonight.

It was crowded, though! We ended up parking on the roof.

We emerged in Disney Springs at around 7 and I ran ahead to put our names in at The Edison. They said it would be about 90 minutes for a table. We weren’t very hungry yet so that sounded good! I put our name in and went outside to tell everyone about the wait. They were also fine with it, so we decided to do some shopping while we waited.

We started at World of Disney. Rebekah had some stuff she was on the lookout for. The store has changed so much! I’m not sure if I like the new open layout more or less than the old way. It’s certainly trendier, but I’m not sure if it makes it easier to find things. Items seemed laid out a bit haphazardly, sometimes by franchise, and other times by type of item. They had some great Tiki Room items I was interested in, especially a hat that looked really cool, but I decided not to indulge in anything. Needed to save money, especially with being on maternity leave.

By now, I’d taught DH how to wear April in the sling. He wanted some pictures to commemorate. So adorable! She is not this chill in the sling now, btw. I think she prefers to be free.

XyAahS6.jpg

After WoD, we went over to the Co-Op. They moved things around! The Dress Shop and art gallery have swapped places, Definitely threw me for a loop.

DH and I spotted a Hocus Pocus dress. We took a picture of it to send to his sister, who loves the movie.

qFttzsc.jpg

I love these dresses and have a few different ones. My dad asked if there was any I wanted as a souvenir, but none really caught my eye. Except for the Fantasia one, which I think is absolutely gorgeous. But it’s not really the kind of dress I see myself wearing on a casual day at the parks, since it’s more like a cocktail dress. And since I didn’t see any cocktail parties in the future, I decided to forgo. What a sacrifice!

We then went over to the art-store-which-was-formerly-the-dress store. My dad’s brother loves Alice in Wonderland and he wanted to get him something that fit with that theme. He liked a couple of the postcards they had, but I think he ended up not getting him anything, for fear his sister-in-law would disapprove (she doesn’t like my uncle “collecting” things).

But I found what I definitely did want as my souvenir. And it was much cheaper than a dress.

Vo7UUwP.jpg

This cup! I forgot to take a picture of it the night I got it, so obviously this is from the next day. If you don’t recognize the images, they’re all drinks that are served at Trader Sam’s on both coasts. Being a gigantic Trader Sam’s fan, I couldn’t resist a cup that would remind me of my favorite Disney spot every day.

My dad generously offered to pay for it, and while he was waiting in line I got a text from my sister, asking me to come to the D-Tech section at the front of the co-op.

She explained to me that she wanted to get a special magic band for Dad. Both as a way to say thank you for financing so much of our trips and because he’d never gotten a special band as part of our hotel reservations. The available ones in stock were never of interest to him, and he didn’t want to pay full price for one.

His two favorite Disney movies are Up and Wall-E. I didn’t think he’d like the Up band design; it was a little too whimsical for his taste. But I did like the Wall-E one. We decided on that one, and went ahead and ordered it. They said it would be at least 30 minutes until it would be ready, and that we could come back tomorrow and get it if we couldn’t make it back there tonight. I was beginning to think this whole thing would be more trouble than it was worth, but I thought it was sweet of Rebekah to think of this and knew it was the least we could do to thank him.

We caught back up with Dad and DH and started making our way back to The Edison via The Landing. On the way we passed one of Dad’s favorite stores, Origins (he’s big into skin care). I looked at the time and realized if I ran, I could get back to the Co-Op around the time the band should be ready, and make it back to Origins with enough time for us all to get to The Edison by the time our table was ready. It was a lot of walking, but I wanted to avoid having to come back to Disney Springs if at all possible. So I made up a story about having to go to the bathroom, and ran off.

Are you sensing a theme here? Maybe I was subconsciously making up for not working out at all this trip.

I got back to the Co-op, only to be told they didn’t have the band ready yet. In fact, they were behind and it would be quite awhile. Sigh.

So I ran back to Origins. By now, Dad was texting me to ask where I’d gone off to. I had tried to subtly explain to DH what I was really doing, but I don’t think he got it because when I got back to everyone, he also seemed confused as to why I’d run off. I just explained there was a line for the bathroom. Men always believe that excuse anyway.

We made our way toward The Edison. I told Rebekah I had tried to get the band but would have to return another time. Oh well. No reason to focus on that now. We had some eating to do!

Up next…Dinner!

Day 4, Part 3: A Roarin’ Good Dinner

Before I get started, here are a few poolside pictures I forgot to post a couple updates ago. Rebekah snuggling April, and DH with April shortly after he arrived.

We got back to The Edison and I hadn’t gotten a text yet that our table was ready, though it was right about time. I went to the hostess desk while my family milled about out front. The hostess said they should be calling us any minute, so I had everyone come inside. Luckily, a chair opened up in the check in area so my sister could sit down.

My dad took a nice picture of DH, April ad I while we waited.

We didn’t end up waiting very long, though. A few minutes later, our name was called, and we were escorted to a table near the back staircase of the building.

It was very busy that night, which was not a surprise. We had a great view of two of the projected screens. If you’ve been to The Edison (or if you read my September TR), you probably know that there are projected screens all around the top floor of the restaurant that typically show very old cartoons and short films, some I think going back to the 19th century. When there’s live music playing on the lower floor, the screens switch to show that.

There are actually several loops of cartoons and films that play, and not all screens show the same loop. Every once in awhile I would comment on something happening on the screen in my eyeline, and it took DH a long time to figure out he wasn’t watching the same loop. I would say things like, “It’s really interesting how these films all have static cameras,” and he’d be like, “Yeah…what?”

We browsed through the menu. DH and I decided to forgo alcohol that night, even though there were lots of great options. I’d had my fill of drinking at the pool and I think he did too. When my dad and I had eaten here in September, I took advantage of their mocktails and really liked my choice, so I decided to get it again.

I got the Acidic Hibiscus: Hibiscus cordial, lime juice, and soda water. DH got the Sugarcane Cherry Cola, which is simple syrup, coke, and a black cherry float.

My dad I think got beer. Didn’t get a picture.

I also was a bad trip reporter and only got pictures of my own meal, so I can’t remember what everyone else got. But in my defense, I’m pretty sure that was because I was making multiple trips downstairs to the only bathroom to change April and also use the stall myself (I hadn’t yet mastered that inevitable skill all mothers eventually master, which is peeing while holding your baby). So by the time I got back, the food had been delivered and everyone but me had already dug in.

I want to say that Rebekah got the grilled cheese with tomato soup, and Dad likely got the fish and chips. DH maybe got a burger?

But I remember exactly what I got. Not only did I get a picture, but I’ve been dreaming about my choice ever since.

The Swine & Cheese. BBQ pork over cavatappi pasta with fontina, muenster, cheddar, and alpine swiss cheese.

Ugh, you guys, it was so good. So creamy and tangy. Exactly the kind of comfort food I needed after all that intermittent running I’d done.

During dinner, there was some live entertainment, plus DH wanted to show off April’s Supergirl onesie.

We finished eating and settled the bill, then headed out. Little Supergirl tried to fly to the car!

Goodnight Disney Springs! We had no idea this would be the last visit for such a long time (I know DS is about to “open up” again, but I don’t plan to visit there or anywhere on property for awhile).

Back at the Poly, DH hung out with us for a little bit. My dad got some really great shots of us both playing with April. Not long after, DH bade us goodnight.

I can’t get over how much of a newborn she is in these photos! The longer this report goes on and the farther away in time we get from the trip, the bigger she gets in real life. Here’s a pic of her now for reference! She’s 17 lbs and four months old!

It really hit me a few nights ago how upset I am that I’m missing the opportunity to bring her to Disney more. Maybe in a way it’s a blessing because of the challenges associated with bringing an infant, but right now she’s at the perfect age to start to take in all those details. I really hope it’s safe to return as soon as possible. I’m not sure what conditions besides a vaccine would make me feel okay about it, but I have to believe that I will get her there soon.

Up next: A wild time at Animal Kingdom!

I just LOVE a good mocktail!! Makes me think about trying to make some at home...got the time right now lol!!

Your pasta looked so good too!!

Let's hope we can all get back to Disney (safely...) sometime soon!! You will have plenty of opportunities to bring April I'm sure!!! But I know that's got to be hard being so close but not being able to go!!

Glad you had a good day with DH. Some relaxation, shopping, eating. Your dinner choice looks so good! Your DD is so cute - glad you included a recent photo. She really has grown! I think all Disney loving people are missing being there so much. We moved our March trip to Sept. but that isn't looking good right now. Not sure I would want to wear a mask all day. Whenever we do get back, I will enjoy every minute and not take it for granted.

DH and I had lunch at the Edison back in December and really enjoyed it! Dinner didn't fit into our short trip schedule but I do want to go again when there's entertainment happening.

I want to say that Rebekah got the grilled cheese with tomato soup,
This is what I got and LOVED it. The sandwich was super cheesy lol

Ooh that does look good!

Oh she's just precious ❤ Our DGD will be 2 next month and every once in awhile an old picture of her pops up on my FB timeline or whatever and I can't believe how fast time goes even with grandchildren. We are taking her for her first visit (and our daughter in law's too) in late Sept. and I just hope things are "normal" enough for them to have a great 1st experience. As for us, we still have one June trip we're holding on to until Disney cancels and then 2 July trips booked that I seriously hope we can do but I'm sure if I had an infant I'd feel differently. We all need to do what we're comfortable with but you'll get April back there! Our boys were 4 and 11 months the very first time they went and it was wonderful!
