***Can't keep us down...OFFICIAL MAY 2021 THREAD...come heck or high water we're going to WDW!!!***

Just in case, today I received 3 pretty cotton J Crew bandanas. And I ordered 3 elastic ear ones as well that arent arriving until June, but I can wait for those.

pics! :D

I have these 3 lightweight cotton bandanas and this wonderful chiffon scarf-face mask - you can see the adjustable ear straps which are super handy. I love the chiffon one, soooooo breezy and cool. I ordered another one as soon I got this one!

Ohhhh! So pretty. I wish mine had ear straps. I have to wear mine cowboy style, but I am ok with that, as I do have some ear strap ones coming. So much prettier for us to wear those than the surgical looking ones, which are kinda sad looking.

And I do also have a couple of chiffon ones that my Mom bought me years ago that I never used, well, I am using them now. You are so right, they are so light and so easy to breathe through.

I was thinking.....the good thing about May for us all is maybe they will understand the virus better by then, maybe we can get our AH parties back and if they go to things like virtual queues and other different procedures for boarding groups etc. we have time to read the boards and learn all the ins and outs and tricks of the trade from the posters who share the info with us. Might better enhance our trips to be more prepared.

God I hope so!

Well.. I was supposed to be on the road this morning headed to the world.. wahhhhhh ☹
But now I'm super excited for next year!

If it helps any, I was really sad when our canceled dates came around, but now that the trip would have been over, I feel a lot better and can focus more on next year rather than “we should have been doing ______ today” type stuff.

I’m thinking of how to spend my birthday on the trip. Not sure if we’d like to eat somewhere nice or maybe even do a fireworks cruise. We have some local friends that wanted to meet up and hang out so that would be fun! Even if nothing that fancy maybe we could eat at Ohana and hit up Trader Sams.

I'm just finishing my week of "today we should be...." Right now we'd be at the Hoop de Doo. I guess I'll be glad once tomorrow passes and I can just focus on what's going to be ahead for our next trip. I'm planning on 'Ohana for our first night but love the suggestion of hitting up Trader Sams afterward! This is our first trip with the boys being over 21 (last time they were 11 and 13) so we have so many new things to do!

Thats so funny! I just said to my husband a couple of hours ago that we should be at Nomad Lounge having a light meal and a couple of good drinks and then......our AK AH party! i so miss my multiple rides on FOP and Everest in an almost empty feeling park.

Definitely Trader Sam’s and a souvenir mug to go with it. Love my Hippopotomai tai Mug smiling at me in the kitchen.

Was planning on going to Aulani next month, but we ended up cancelling that. Then my wife and I thought about doing a late August/September trip at CSR to try to get some Disney in this year (and a first vacation for our daughter). Between last night and today my wife and I talked and we are cancelling the September trip and going to do two trips in 2021, a quick week in May then a longer one in June! Hopefully by then things will have calmed down with the virus.

May 2-8 at AKV: Savanna 2 Bedroom.

I'm excited for next year, but if I'm honest it's not as fun because it still feels very up in the air. I'll feel better after Disney re-opens, we see what the changes are, see if permanent or not and go from there. And of course see if I still have my job or not. But don't worry, I'll keep this thread going until the bitter end. If there's anything I've learned from the past year and half is anything, good or bad, can happen!

I'm with you 100% on that one...in the back of my mind, I'm already thinking "well, my southwest credit goes until June 2022, hopefully we'll be able to go for sure by then"...

My plan B (or C at that point) is October 2021. Yes it will be crowded...or not...who knows!!!

Our plan B is Sept of this year, but we are still going in May of next year as well, which is like a plan C. We were going to skip next year but my hubby took pity on me and said we could go this year and next year. Not even thinking at this point that Sept will happen because of a reduced experience which I am definitely not paying for. So if Sept. doesnt happen i will just get my room deposit back, transfer my hoppers to May of next year and transfer my flight credits to next May as well.
if May 2021 for some reason is still a reduced experience or whatever may happen, our plan D will probably be Sept of 2021.

Our plan C is May 2021, (already nixed plan B August 2020) and our plan D is October 2021 (@Farro you'll have to start us one of those threads too if the time comes) and our plan E is May 2022...here's hoping for plan C!
