New Reservation System ?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Just did this! It really eases my mind knowing we have tickets for our October trip. It is worth the risk to me knowing that we are covered.

Here is the thing, I don’t know if you are covered. I don’t know if I am covered. That is the inherent risk part. I hope it puts us and everyone else in the system and in good shape.

Did anyone with an October DVC reservation and tickets get an email about the new reservation system? We have not and when I called they said Disney will be starting to contact people sooner rather than later...
I did for September. Have DVC (rented ) and added tickets from UT When I heard the news about the new reservation system. my daughter received the email like a couple days after I added the tickets and I received it yesterday. We are on the same reservation I am the lead guest.

The generic email I received on Friday said that since you have valid theme park tickets you will have access to the reservation system before new tickets are sold. We have Halloween party tickets, so maybe those showed as valid theme park tickets.

I was willing to take the risk. We rented DVC points so if the resorts are open, we are going. I'd rather be covered than be stuck without.

I can’t imagine that they can let anyone in to take your place. What if you want to go for an afternoon rest at your resort and come back? You have to be let in, otherwise you have very upset people who paid a lot for their ticket and can’t get back in for their dinner reservation. They may take a deposit to combat no-shows?

While I feel that is a valid point I can't see Disney "holding" your spot in the park if they were to reach any sort of capacity limits. But this is yet another unknown that hopefully more info will be forthcoming to help folks try to figure out how their visit will be impacted.

This was the generic email about the new system, nothing specific.

We have not gotten the email and I have the tickets attached so I am just concerned. May I ask do you just have an October date and did you book thruyour points?

That definitely would work much better for them....but the email said that the ADR window would be 60 days before your reservation began right? So when would the park reservation need to be, at 90 days? Or you think they made up the 60 days and won't really have ADR's?
I am within 60 days and I just tried make dining reservation and was unable to on the app.. anyone else?

We rented points. Our dates are October 17 - 25.

I am just worried because I have not gotten an email about it but I have DVC using my own points and tickets attached to My Disney Experience. They told me not to worry but I cant help it since so many others got emails...

If I understand the information from Disney so far you must have a valid ticket and a spot in the reservation system then at 60 days ADRs would open for you. Since the reservation system is not open yet I do not think 60 days means anything yet

I got a super generic email about the new procedures....I think I got it due to having an AP though. It said nothing about my upcoming August, September or November reservations. They told others they would be contacting people with resort and ticket reservations....so hopefully mine will come! Good luck😊

Correct. Nobody can make ADRs yet. I don't think it will be turned on until the park reservation system is online since you'll need a park reservation to make an ADR for a park restaurant.

So do you think I will still be able to contact them once I know the reservation system is up and running even without the email?

I have no idea. However, I suspect it will be accessed through MDE, and it won't matter if you got an email or not. The email was very generic. MDE would know if you are eligible to do the park reservation, just like it knows if you can do ADRs and FP and for how long.

Well I would hopefully be ok to get the reservations in then because I had them check and the cast member on chat said they show my reservations and tickets. I just want to make sure I get the early advantage phase that having a reservation and ticket will get you they mention in the email.
