World of Disney Reopens to Long Waits

We went last night, there really wasn't a long wait. I will say, the cast members were pretty confused about the entry process. They ultimately just said, "let them all in." I'm guessing their counting app had issues and they had to eyeball it. The checkout lines inside were long, but it was due to the social distancing stuff, so it didn't take too long. Force people to wear masks AND social distance? eh.

Many things were not there to purchase, such as charms and pins, but for some reason... all the other stuff that people touch was still there. Confusing. My daughter was pretty bummed about it.

We got a plush "baby Yoda," and ate at the Boathouse, otherwise I'd say it was freaking miserable to be there in a mask, and won't go back until that is lifted. No need to reply to me to say "good riddance, or stay away, etc..." I get it. It's my choice. Saw plenty of people sitting on walls and hiding around corners of buildings to remove their masks and catch their breath. Saw cast members sweating in stores and visibly miserable. Saw them struggle to talk to customers and each others due to the masks. Saw and heard disappointment from people as you walked by.

Thanks for the honest report wilbret, doesn't sound to pleasant ( to me, other mileage may vary and that is ok). I've got Oct. reservations and I'm keeping my fingers crossed things (in general at theme parks across the board) calm down a bit.
I know I & others appreciate hearing these first hand accounts from folks nearby the parks

I have my mask on for an hour doing my infusions and I HATE it (NOT the infusions btw). I can't imagine "enjoying" myself somewhere else with a mask on at all!!

My sister and a friend went to Disney Springs on Friday. They got there at about 10 am. Only the Orange garage was open. They got through the temperature check very quickly. They wanted to have lunch at the Polite Pig, which did not open until 11 am, so they made their way to World of Disney. They were able to walk right in. The only real crowds were at the checkout lanes.

The Polite Pig was equally empty. The tables were spaced more than 6 ft apart. The wait staff did all drink refills and were very accommodating. All in all, they had a good experience.

We went again last night. Sigh. The kids really wanted to go, and I’m a sucker. And our hotel this week was across the street, so...

The heavy rain cooled it off! I still saw people taking off masks, and many even walking around without them on their face. People crowded under awnings and in the breezeway by Chicken Guy during the storm, but I didn’t see any of the Social Distance compliance patrol? The rain did make me wonder how many masks will it take for all the sweating and rain, if you have paper masks?

World of Disney was not crowded, as in, it felt empty. Ate at Planet Hollywood (the kids love it), no wait.

Wyndham does not require masks, FYI.

People with no masks honestly makes me upset and Disney allowing that makes me Angrier!
Make Rules that people can reasonably comply with ( wearing a mask in the fla heat/humidity can be Unbearable)
If DS is already having Non Compliers...and nothing being done about it (?!) and the potential impact, can you Imagine the Parks?

And Governor DeSantis and his Executive Order 20-80 from March... Where’s the Update for that? It Requires 14 day quarantining for visitors from NY, NJ, Louisiana and Ct. is it over? Ignored? Not applicable to Disney lol.
what a debacle! Stay Healthy all!
