They doubled down by having a young person on the ground confirm there is indeed faction in-fighting with these characters from The Holy Grail (who btw don't actually exist).

ALL FROM A MONTY PYTHON QUOTE ON REDDIT.

That's some sick sad world journalism.

That's because Fox always skips ahead of all that boring stuff about governing to Help Help I'm being repressed!!!!!

Yes. A few, CNN and the NYT had to issue an apology because they both ran pictures of a ton of people in a hospital ICU type room that was supposedly NY when in reality, it was Italy. That's one of many. I think because you hate FOX, you don't hear about CNN and MSNBC boo boo's cause they normally don't admit it.
Both companies you listed make mistakes; in fact ALL do. Could be as simple as misspelling a name. How the deal with those errors are important to readers but I already stated that in an earlier post.

Manipulating pictures to push a narrative is a total no-no that requires the journalistic entity to put a correction in the article and delete the pictures at the least. Apologizing to their readers/watchers would say much about respect as well.
Fox only did some of that when it was pointed out by another newspaper and intially did nothing more than make defensive (but untrue) statements via a spokesperson.

As well maybe I missed it so I'm sure you can point out when the NYT ran pictures of a local hospital mislabeled as one in Italy. I suspect you are talking about a video CBS ran but am more than happy to be corrected.
Can't say anything about CNN as I'm not a regular watcher.

I thought it was supposed to just be a street festival.
If you read the article and look up others it sounds like someone came in and did the shooting not that the shooting happened among the protesters already there. Not defending or otherwise giving an opinion on the situation itself but the headline makes it sound like there’s infighting and that’s not the impression I got.

That's kind of the impression I got as well from the very sparse detail in the story, but who knows? I checked a couple of other sources and didn't find anything additional.

Early news stories are always limited on information and heavy on hype -- the only thing clear is that one person was killed and the other is critical.

This is a fascinating look at human dynamics, isn't it?

It's difficult to get accurate information about CHAZ-now-CHOP because the media is no longer reporting. There is "left-wing" media and "right-wing" media but very little (and difficult to find) reporting.

The occupiers want no police. But when an outsider comes in with a gun that leaves them vulnerable. So they do what they hate about America and build a wall. It's for their own protection. Frankly I agree with that. People are dangerous. Even within a street festival protesting a very important issue

Agree. "Reporting" these days is writing a headline and doing screenshots of Tweets.

Hmmm...crickets. Not surprised.

The shooting now appears to be an internal dispute within the CHAZ/CHOP community, according to community representatives:

"In a statement released to media Saturday night, representatives with CHOP that said the individuals involved in the shooting may have had previous history and that it seemed to escalated because of "gang affiliations". They say deescalation teams with the CHOP were en route before the shooting occurred."

It's a mess for sure!

good to know the chop has a de-escalation team. too bad they couldn't get there sooner. I wouldn't think if the chop is what a 6 block radius, it shouldn't take them more than a couple minutes to get there.
