And a cm just picked up. Coudn't have been more than 5 or 10 minutes
Update: My call from hold to CM was 38 minutes and 31 seconds, about 30 minutes of that was with the CM. It was 35 redials until I got a ring. (I saw it posted again but here is the # in case anyone misses the other posts 407-939-7866)
Called about November, but thought about what several of you said here about August trip and had that in mind when I called. I was going to ask what would happen to our Park Reservations if I canceled our AoA suite (move from WL with a $300 upcharge even with military discount) and moved to SOG (eligible resort for early window, but I don't trust Disney tech lol). Didn't even get to ask the question, the GS CM immediately wanted to know why I was unhappy and looking to cancel, and didn't even want to talk about my November at ASMo right away. Told her about the hours on the phone and the hours trying to get park reservations and I was just tired and not happy that I paid $300 more to move from a deluxe to a value when our hotel was closed.
We got Poly!!!! For the original WL rate. Modified our SOG from 4 nights to 1 night, so DH still has that (and I'm a big SOG fan too) and he's also happy with Poly if he can't have WL. (We've never stayed Deluxe but this year was going to make the splurge).
About values and the fall months - here's my experience
I was offered either POP or AoA to replace ASMo. Told the CM I was good with either resort, so she put us Pop for the same price (well a few dollars cheaper due to the tax difference.)
I hope everyone has good luck! Definitely let CMs know you don't want to pay more for your resort. (I was so tired yesterday and ticked off at Disney launching everything for 2020 and 2021 yesterday knowing it would be a cluster, by that point I stopped caring and just found myself saying yes to the higher rate at AoA.) Woke up not really loving Disney today. The CM yesterday was lovely, but I should have waited for GS.
Today I'm feeling the love again...this CM was truly wow in terms of customer service.
