I wouldn’t even mind booking another park in advance! I usually have all our hopping planned out (I’m a planner type lol) I know they’ll bring it back, I just hope it’s sooner rather than later. It’s such a big part of our trips and the most we can ever stay is 8 days because of my fiancé’s work so we like to do as much as possible.
We normally are AP holders but i am so glad we didn’t renew our APs in January when we were there because of all of this!

I also like spontaneous hopping too. When we stay at WL, we like taking the boat over to MK to catch the fireworks at night.

Yes I don’t think I want to advance plan hopping. We like to open the app and see what FPs are available and then go.

Well I booked park passes today for DW and i. I will try to buy tickets for the kids on Sunday and get them park passes. If that doesn’t work work we will leave them home.

I guess I will be holding on the phone line with you on Sunday. We want to add one night on the trip and extend our park hopper by one night. They could book us the room but couldnt do the ticket upgrade yet so I decided to do it all at the same time. The last thing i wanted was a room and no extra park to go into. I could wait a couple of weeks until phone lines quiet a little but I am the type that has to have everything booked sooner rather than later.

After a bit of a journey, I finally got my May reservation situated (I hope).

I booked a package 10 days at the Swan for May (w/ hoppers - fingers crossed) on Wednesday when 2021 packages opened. The room reservation took until this afternoon to show up in MDE (4-days after booking). I was worried since we've never had to wait more than two days for Swan reservation to be linkable before, but this was our first time booking the Swan through Disney instead of direct or through a TA.

With the room reservation part of the package finally showing in MDE, I checked for the tickets and found that they were not there. Since I couldn't make Park Pass reservations without tickets, I contacted CS and explained that my tickets weren't showing up. After a bit, they eventually kicked it up to an "escalation team." The CM asked for my park days, then added "FP keys" to my account and made the Park Pass reservations. She then said she was told by that we do have tickets on the account but that they won't show up in MDE until we pick them up at the Swan. Is that normal for Swalphin bookings through Disney? I understand not getting the physical ticket cards until then, but not linking them seems odd to me. Are they expecting all Swalphin booking to contact CS to be able to book park passes? There was no indication in any of the previous email communication from Disney that out tickets would not be linked until we pick them up at check-in. We already have tickets for December 2020 on the account, so I wonder if that might have had something to do with it.

Anyway... the key task of securing the Park Passes that we wanted is done (although hopefully moot by May), but I'm still a little worried about the tickets, despite the assurances.

I bought park tickets for the kids today and got the parks reservations for them. Whew! Seriously making these decisions for a family of 5 one year in advance is insane. And I thought ADRs 6 months in advance was over the top.

We got magicbands in the mail today. I ordered special bands for our July 2020 trip in March. Shortly after that they shut down so the order was supposedly canceled. I canceled the resort stay a couple weeks ago. A few days after that, I got the email that the bands shipped. I don't think they charged me for them.

These were supposed to be for next month. They shipped them after I canceled the reservation. I can pick new ones for my 2021 reservation too. Just thought it was weird but I guess that's how 2020 is rolling.

Free ones are still available if you go into the customizing thing. I’ve gotten nothing but premium ones since they started that but since we can get two each for our split stay I’m debating getting a plain green one to go with my Te Fiti ears I got from Etsy.

Speaking of which they came in the mail today! I wore them working from home today and played the Poly resort loop. (Sorry it’s doing the dumb sideways image thing again)
