DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

And the worst day is the last one. I was able to meet Mike and his family. Thanks again for the bourbon and letting me crash on your family time. Afterwards, DW and I went to Kiminos for a last quiet meal, and it was excellent. Time to pack. Y'll have a great day.

Thank you guys.

It was quite the day.
Beautiful sunrise
Pictures or rocket launch
DW got me a boogie board that almost exactly matched my tie dye shirt.
Great sunset
Saw turtles hatching and heading out to the ocean.

No picture of launch...on good camera.
No video of turtles...too big.

Will try to post when I get home and can edit.

Happy Belated Birthday. I'll add it to my contacts since you're not on FB to remind me.

Happy birthday, Doc! Looks like it was a good one.

Not a bad day at all. :)
I just am choosing not to picture you on your boogie board.

Or really anything that would involve the word "boogie".

Cue the discussion tonight betwixt myself and the Lady K about me installing Air conditioning upstairs.

Judging from your past projects, this will end up with you building a new addition on the roof, including maybe a bungee jump station.

The paralegal I've been working with, and will eventually be replacing, is having me draft certain documents, Deeds, Declarations of Trusts, Limited Power of Attorney, things like that.

I'm sorry, I just fell asleep reading this sentence.

Glad you're enjoying it, though! :rolleyes1

And the worst day is the last one.

Truth.

Morning All,

Seems to be a bit cooler today but we'll see. I expect it to be a quite day in the office, especially going into a long weekend. I expect that I'll be the only one here come 4 p.m.

Have a good one all.

What happen? Did they open the border? 🤷‍♂️

Top O the Mornin Dads! HS today so expecting a bit more folks than MK. Hooked with Joe and few others at MK waiting on pics from Jeff’s photonpass. Norm and I did get to raise a glass last night. DD gets in today just ahead of the hurricane weather. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend

Right. Thats it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone oup. Last one in Ogas Cantina for Jefi Mind Tricks with Mike takes Leia home. And let me tell ya, we're aiming for the small exhaust port, right below the main port.

Have a great weekend chaps

Safe journey. E Ticket. Your socks always look better with a short skirt. Have a great time mate

And, we made it home. Bad news first. Apparently, when I shut off the water before we left, I overturned the valve and broke it. So, a 2:30 PM call on Friday to the plumber so we could have water for the weekend. Now, I get to patch a big hole in the wall. Ugh.

Good news. I bought a new shot glass at WDW for 2020. It's a double. Mmmmm......tequila. Even sideways, I didn't spill a drop. :lmao:

Better news. On the flight home, DW and I talked about future vacation plans. We had discussed a Florida beach condo, but she says she's thinking she would rather stay in KY. So, I ask if we can move further out and buy some land for a pool and hot tub for her, and some fishing, shooting, and 4 wheeler riding for me. She said that sounded good. It may not be a beach retirement, but I can have a lot of fun.

Well...we officially checked out.

Last picture before we left

CM taking the pictures was funny..
Acting like we were in a photo shoot.

Sideways pictures are great. Hope you had a good week.

Small exhaust port? Yeah, I'm the man for that.

Mornin', Gents! Hope all made it to the weekend in one piece and with very few scratches. I made through my first week on the new job and am enjoying it a lot, though I still get nervous about all that I need to learn and do, but I am enjoying it....one step at a time, right?! The paralegal I'm working with said that she's going to add something else to my list of things she'll teach me, which is good because I need to learn all that I can before she leaves in three weeks. Another paralegal said that she was going to let me work with her on a closing/deal from start to finish, which will definitely be a good thing as I'll need to do it at some point. The only problem is, the paralegal I'll be working with on the closing goes on vacation next Friday at 5pm, so while the closing/deal will mostly be done, there will be other things I'll have to do on my own. Nothing like being thrown into the fire to learn quickly, huh? I'm ok with it, it will force me to learn quickly. Now on to the weekend. Have a good day, gents.

TTFN

I think that could be said of any task you do over and over.

This is true, and right now I'm not sick of them because I'm still learning, and having fun doing it. I'm still making some mistakes, but it's usually things I still haven't grasped yet, like knowing which certificate numbers to use, there's always a few of those on a deed....stuff I'll eventually get.

That's great! Having that type of environment can be worth (or save) a lot of money....low stress = better quality of life and less medical bills. Not to mention making the days go by faster.

Exactly! And everyone there has worked there for years. The receptionist has been with them off and on for here entire adult life. One paralegal has been with them for 25 years or more, so that says a lot about the firm and the work environment.

The last day of any vacation is always the worst...especially when you know you're going to be leaving Disney World. That's cool that you got to meet another DisDad member.

And I thought I was going to read that you came home to a flooded house. Whew! Glad that didn't happen.

Good news. I bought a new shot glass at WDW for 2020. It's a double. Mmmmm......tequila. Even sideways, I didn't spill a drop. :lmao:

Morning folks. Back at work today. Gonna be a long, long-weekend.
Okay, that's fine. I'm not picturing me running with you so we're even. ;) Good job/congrats on the goal/milestone!
:thumbsup2
And thanks!

::yes::
Jodi's on a conference call since 7 am this morning, so I'm watching Leave it to Beaver. I miss that world. I am so sorry I took the red pill...
Never have seen that show. We didn't have it when I was a kid.
Well...we officially checked out.
I checked out years ago.
Nice shot of you and Coni, though. :)
And let me tell ya, we're aiming for the small exhaust port, right below the main port.

Score!

Morning All,

nice morning here to start our long weekend. Watched some F1 qualifying for tomorrow's British Grand Prix and now I'm just going to enjoy my second cup of coffee.

Have a good one all.
Never been a fan of watching qualifying, with the Indy 500 being the lone exception. But looking forward to the race.

Morning buddy. My BIL marshalls the British GP, so he must be there.

Put about half the fence panels in, just rubbed some butt that I'll put in the smoker at about midnight tonight, so I might be around for the call if there is one. Here's a little shot of the porky monster. The butcher he'd let me have it for half price if I stuck a couple of pictures on his FB page. Sounds like a good deal.
