Magic Kingdom Two Days In A Row

I’m thinking about a 3 night trip to WDW. It was supposed to be DL, but I’m afraid it might not reopen by the time of my trip next month. Thinking about staying at Contemporary and going to MK two days in a row. Give me some things you would do at MK for two days. First thought that comes to mind is riding the trolley (never have) and spending a few hours exploring every store on Main St.
Do you think it will be too much?

I always take at least 2 days for MK. I like to focus on Fantasyland/Tomorrowland one day and Adventureland/Liberty Square the other. IMO this is the park that is most difficult to “do” in just one day because of the sheer number of attractions. I realize, though, this might not be the case in COVID times.

We always skew our trips heavily to MK so there will be lots to do even if it involves significant repeats.:)

Staying at Contempo/Bay Lake is my favorite for a MK heavy trip! I don't think 2 days will be too much if you take your time and enjoy the details. In addition to the Sorcerors game (we've collected the free cards you get at the firehouse) we've also had fun with the Pirate game. You can always walk/monorail back for a swim break too!

We stayed in the Garden Wing at the Contemporary two years ago and only did two days at MK (following a three night DCL).

It was during a holiday and our kids are young, so it was crowded and we followed their lead. But there are still things we didn’t get to do in that time. I don’t think two days is too much at all.

I stayed at Poly a few weeks ago. We had a three day trip and did two MK days in a row and HS the last day. It was awesome! Most relaxing Disney trip I’ve ever had. We didn’t plan anything but dining. We just went to the park in the morning and did whatever the kids wanted. When we got hot we went back to the pool and then a nap. We ate dinner every night at 5 so we had time to go back to the parks for a few more rides in the evening.

Just a heads up that the Pirate game is not in operation right now

Do things you might normally skip. Maybe Tom Sawyer Island and the riverboat. Maybe a sit down meal there each day also. And Swiss Family treehouse, take your time and enjoy the details there. So disappointing the Pirates game not operating now, that would have been great. I wonder if the effects still work?
Look for hidden mickeys!

Odd man out here, we usually on do a half day at MK so I can't imagine doing two full days there. Heck, one of the reason I'm hesitating on going right now is no park hoppers and trying to spend one full day in any park.

We used to always schedule 2 days at the MK, often tho, we were there at busy times, and needed 2 days to make sure to get all the mountains done, etc. We love to ride things multiple times. Often 2-4 times on Big thunder, or Space. With wait times being so much lower, should be a lot easier to get everything in , and have time for repeats on the second day. We were also pleasantly surprised a couple years back, when we brought the kids over to Tom Sawyer's Island> I'd been there as a kid, but we usually skipped it on recent trips. Kids LOVED it. THey got to run around, wasn't crowded, not have any lines/waits to deal with, etc. lots of fun. love the Trolley idea. We've never done that. We'll add that to our trip list. too! Also, agree w those recommending the Sorcerer's of the MK game. It's fun. and can take up a good amt of time, if you do all the lands. Also, look around for Hidden Mickeys.

I totally agree. It took our 3rd trip to do this and we were so amazed at the amount of interest our boys (11&12) had in all the non thrilling attractions. 2 days in a row at MK is a must for us.

OP here. MK is my favorite park. Last there 10 days before the shutdown. The thing that got me thinking about two full days was having had lunch on the patio @ Tony’s and riding the Liberty, which I hadn’t done in ages. Those two adventures got me to thinking what else I might be missing. I witnessed so much at Tony’s - all unplanned. Thanks for your feedback and please keep it coming.

I love taking my time at parks, it's even easier now days with out FPs you have to run to across the park. The first day We spend time on main street shopping then wonder through Tommorow land finish our day in Fantasy land. The next day we start by going left and working back to where we left off usually ends op overlapping

This was us too! We usually go to one park in the morning, go back to the resort in the afternoon, and then hit a different park in the evening. It was definitely a mind-set change for us when we went last month. It wasn't horrible, but definitely different. We did a split stay between VGF and BWV. It wasn't too big of an issue when we were at VGF, but when we were at BWV, that was when we noticed it. We usually like to go to either HS in the morning and then EP in the evening or vice versa. We missed being able to do that.

But we made it work and it wasn't the end of the world. :) It was just really nice to get out and travel again!

We LOVE MK so two days in a row sounds awesome. A lot of times we just do repeats on rides and attractions. I would give the lesser popular attractions some time and also maybe spend some time doing things you don’t normally do every trip. It also might be nice to do some resort visits on the monorail from MK for a meal or two. I don’t believe any Main Street vehicles are running for passengers now. The only trolley on Main Street is for character cavalcades, at least as of a few weeks ago. Don’t think any are back for guests yet. Have fun!!

We stayed Thurs through Tue around Labor Day and went to MK 3 of those 6 days, although the last day, we had to leave by 11am (2 hrs). We only did our usual attractions a gazillion times, and we were content without doing anything different or unusual for us. But I guess we're just boring or easily amused, I'm not sure. We rode 7D min. 4x every day, even our 2 hr day. And really, we still missed some of Carousel of Progress (stuck in it during heavy rain), and missed Tiki, Bears, that we intended to do with the extra time.
