Been to the movies post Covid?

Nope. They haven't opened up here yet, and I'm not sure I would go, simply because I want to be comfortable and eat/drink while I watch a movie, and I'm not comfortable doing that in public right now (and I wouldn't want to wear a mask for 3 hours).

I didn’t go to the movies pre Covid but the parking lot of the theatre in my community isn’t very busy anytime I go for a walk

No, not yet. Our Marcus theater just opened up again two weeks ago, and I hear its been extremely slow for them as well. Of course they haven't had any blockbuster movies yet, so maybe things will pick up later this fall and winter. Our theater actually turned the outside wall of the ultrascreen and side parking lot into a drive in movie theater over the summer so they could still be open. It was different and we enjoyed it! They showed two older movies back to back with two different movies every weekend. We got pizza before we got there and saw The Goonies and Twister. The parking lot was pretty full with an open space between each vehicle.

I went to see Tenet last week and had to cross state lines to do so. I went in expecting it would be almost empty and I was correct. There were maybe 7-10 people in a decent sized theatre auditorium.

Yes, a time or two since they re-opened in July. With no new releases though, there aren't very many people going. There were only a few people there - we were probably 50' away from anyone else in the auditorium and the snack counter was decked out just like every other retail space with distancing, masks and plastic shields.
I'd feel safe given how empty they've been, but what is even out?

My DS is a major videophile and he's dying on the vine without movies this past 6 months. We saw Irresistible with Steve Carrell (which was very charming and had a twisty ending) and a "small film' called Abe.

No because there isn’t anything worth seeing in theaters right now. I know though that ours are operating at reduced capacity and I think are requiring masks, so I would feel fine going. I’m not a snacked during movies and I already wear a mask all day at work. But I need a movie worth watching to be released.

Nope. I’m not scared but I only found out yesterday that movie theatres were open. It’s been open since September 4 but was out of state at that time. Didn’t know anything about it till yesterday when I was picking up my to go order and people was going inside the restaurant. I googled restaurants New Jersey and movie theatres also came up.
went to look but looks like nothing good is playing. Maybe go watch unhinged.

Nope. Not until pandemic is over. I’m limiting anything I do indoors to reduce risk. I am just blown away by how many people are living their lives like a once in a lifetime pandemic isn’t occurring. I don’t want whatever long term affects covid has the risk of causing to me.

I don't want to risk it, but maybe if I looked at a specific showing and all the seats were still available last minute I might consider it.
