Any chance Disney will extend MK hours during October

yep! pretty annoying. I tried to get after hour reservations, but failed. so I got some that are very close to closing time so I can eat after the park is closed. but now, I'm most likely gonna cancel those because the park days are already so short, last thing i wanna do is spend the last 90 minutes at a sit down. very frustrating indeed.
It's definitely rough planning ahead these days.

Obviously no one has a crystal ball, but does anyone see Disney extending park hours in October? We're going the week of Oct 12th and I'm pretty bummed about such short hours. We are night owls and don't typically hit the parks till 11am. i LOVE being in the parks at night, definitely the best time to be there.

It looks like as of right now, park hours are the same all the way through late November. :( I'm just hoping someone has some optimistic reason why the hours might be extended :)

I'd like to be optimistic but in reality it seems the only way hours get adjusted to be longer would be if covid-19 magically goes away. And I'm not counting on that happening. I wonder how much, or what percentage of, real park capacity, is Disney willing to go to as their new capacity?

I'm going Columbus Day week (11-18) so I hope they not only extend hours that weekend but that entire week. It is the first sold out DHS week thus far, so it will likely be the busiest full week since reopening. They have either quietly increased capacity and/or are more busy because of the resort discounts. Either way, the reported wait times since Labor Day are greatly increased. The majority of people who booked trips this fall were willing to pay full price for lesser experience because of the lower wait times. Without that "benefit" people are going to start canceling (including possibly me). It's literally not worth the money to stand in 1hr+ lines all day and the real possibility of not getting to do all your favorite rides because the hours are too short. Disney is going to have to figure out a way to better disperse crowds to lower wait times before that week or it could be a very bad look for them.

That's the week we'll be there. It's fall break here in the mid-south (TN). In the past our fall break tends to be pretty busy at WDW, and we've always run into people from school. Part of me is hoping that they will be spontaneous and announce extended hours at select parks. Plus when I checked last week to add my SIL to our ressie, HS is booked solid that week in both the AP and resort guest buckets.

I definitely think the reports of low waits and discounted rooms pulled in the fall break crowds Disney wanted. Now let’s just hope they can accommodate them appropriately.

It appears Disney has quietly increased capacity yet again for this week. There is now open availability for all days except Friday the 16th. They are going to have a lot of angry visitors if they do not figure out a way to lower the wait times that appear to be on the horizon during these fall break weeks.

UPDATE: YES! I guess there is a chance lol. Parks hours have been extended up to 2 hours on several days. MK extended from 6 to 8pm on OCt 11 and 12, and Epcot was set to close at 7pm, now 9pm for those 2 days. WOOHOO!

While I love this because we will be there during that time, I wish they would start to do other things (open more restaurants, shows etc) to address crowds instead of adding hours on at the end of the day.

The 9th and 10th also. And AK was also extended...8-6 now, as opposed to 9-5.

They have started to add things, most significant as of today, they announced the frozen song along returning. Also several smaller dining venues are back, kingra bakery, Hollywood scoops...
