AP Partial/Full Refund Question and Answers...?

I have the premier pass as well which was why I was a bit confused. My pre-covid expiration date is 1/29/21 which I guess was far up ahead so Disneyland side never changed it. When WDW opened they gave me for the time closed plus extra month as they promised pushing my expiration date to 7/2/21. So now I'm curious is if they will stay separated or will match up eventually when Disneyland opens, which would be amazing because it means I'll get a whole lot of extra months for WDW. But it sounds too good to be true? Then again what you described sounds like they are extending your WDW indefinitely until Disneyland opens so here's to hoping!
Disneyland never updated expiration dates. Disregard what’s in the Disneyland app for now. For now go off of what’s in the WDW app. Since you had such a far out expiration date there’s a good chance you won’t need a rolling date update. My pass only had about 4 months left on it when the parks closed down which is why I’ve started receiving the updates.

Flex AP refund requested and processed on 6/4.
Seeing the prorated credit card refund pending as of today 12/16.

I received a refund for my Deluxe AP with Max pass (expired in Jun) $226.13. The transaction details indicate the transaction was on 8 Dec, but didn't post to my account until 21 Dec. (This credit card had to be replaced some time after the purchase of the AP, so maybe that is why it took so long to catch up to my account?)

My in-laws got refunds last week for their flex passes. They had bought 3-day tickets originally and upgraded to flex at the end of their trip in November. They received approximately 2/3 of the upgrade payment back as refund. Too bad really since the pandemic prevented them from using the passes again in any significant way. They entered for one day briefly in March when they were in southern California for other reasons but didn't stay very long because the news was starting to focus on the pandemic and they were starting to get nervous about being in crowded public places.

In reading all the info, it seems like it will automatically happen. Has anyone actually gotten their refund?
Look over this thread for answers. So far, we've heard from Premier (for the WDW water park part -- and some people did receive the WDW refunds if they requested that -- no DL refunds yet), Signature, Flex, and Deluxe. No reports yet from SoCal or SoCal Select.
For APs who requested the extension, those refunds have not yet been reported. After all, the official announcement only went out last Thursday and today is a holiday. I'd be pleasantly surprised to see Disney moving that fast (and hope that they'd be accurate!).

I should probably specify that I purchased in January 2020 and never even got to activate them. So I'm due a full refund. I've been holding out hope but there are definitely things I would like to spend $3600 on.

I called the AP info line last week for an update on my refund.
My AP+MP expired end of October and I had requested a refund not extension.

I had purchased using gift cards. This was the first time the CM could tell me the amount of the refund.
The CM knew it would be $586.18 but had no idea when a check would be mailed to me.

So much for the saying "Checks in the Mail"....

You've been waiting for your refund since October? Um no, 3 months will not work for me. Not good.

I can top that, LOL. We requested a refund for my husband's WDW AP in July. I just got the check last week. I called multiple times and received contrary information. One CM told me it had been put back on my mastercard. As I only have one mastercard that I haven't used in years, I knew that was wrong. I finally received the check last week! I am not holding out much hope for an easier refund process with our DL Signature passes. We had one or two months left in the payment plan and were on "pause" for re-open. I want to say the passes expired in June or July.

I think since you never activated your AP's, Disney should move you to the front of the refund list.

When Disney first announced the Refund Option, I called and got on the list.
So, Disney has known my request even prior to the expiration date.

One thing that would be nice to know is IF it makes a difference on how you paid for an AP.
Is Disney processing refunds to Credit Card before issuing Checks for those that used Gift Cards or Cash???
Or are refunds done by date? It would be nice to know...

This is the most recent official information (dated 1/14/21) we have about AP refunds, including unactivated vouchers: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/annual-passholder-refund-information/
But there is no time line given for when you will receive your refund. Keep watching this thread -- when refunds start showing up, people will post.

Ha ha ha...here's how ours have gone so far.

Younger DS Signature AP with Maxpass: Refund requested sometime during the first half of June, can't remember the exact date. AP expired August 6, 2020. Refund showed up on credit card on December 8, 2020.

Older DS Flex AP: Refund requested early June, again can't remember exact date. AP expired November 26, 2020. No refund received yet.

In-laws APs: Refund requested sometime in the spring or early summer but before either of my sons requested their refunds. APs expired November 26, 2020. Mother-in-law texted me on December 22 to let me know she had gotten her refunds.

DH and my Signature plus APs: Expired March 27, 2020. No refund requested. Guess we'll see what happens...

Be patient and prepared to wait -- many people here have been waiting much longer than 3 months. Disney has LOTS of people to get through and fewer employees to handle it all now. And with all APs cancelled now? We are ALL waiting... This could take a while.

It is kind of like trying to get the Covid Vaccination .....
Still waiting in Oregon for "Phase 1b" to open for appointments.

What we know from the WDW refunds and from what people have posted here is that the credit card refunds appear to have been handled first. People on the WDW boards are still posting about not having received their checks -- and for some of them, that's been going on since last summer. I haven't seen anyone post yet on our boards that they've received a refund check. So, hang in there -- you're not the only one waiting for this.
