What now defunct product do you wish would comeback?

I remember O'Ryans Sour Cream and Onion chips from when I was a kid and they were the best ever.

Keebler Butter braid pretzels.
I also miss Bennigans especially for the Monte Cristo.

Someone earlier mentioned McD’s fried apple pies (I prefer cherry), well they still make them that way in Europe locations.

That is great for people who have that grocery store - I think it's all on the west coast?

I'm in Pennsylvania.

It used to be readily available at every store - that's my point. WILD CHERRY WAS SO GOOOOOD :worried:

There are a few World Markets on the East Coast, but they are in MA and NH. Perhaps more will open after COVID is taken care of.

I miss my hair dye L'Oreal Ginger Twist. I have a stockpile (thanks to my DIL, who drove all over to buy what she could find) that will last a year or so. Then I'm going to have to get creative :)

I miss the green tea slushies at the China Pavilion too.

I grew up with all the diet sodas sweetened with Cyclamates. Fresca, Diet Rite, Tab. Only artificial sweetener that didn't taste funny to me. Banned in the U.S. due to cancer concerns in 1970. Who knows, it's still legal in many nations (including all those in the European Union) because they consider all our legal sweeteners potential cancer risks.
Of course, my Doctor says don't use any sweetener, just drink water!

Clear Magic - this was an all-purpose cleaner/degreaser that used to be sold in the automotive section of stores like Walmart or Kmart. It was concentrated, so a little went a long way. That stuff cut through grease and grime like nobody's business, did not require rinsing, and left a nice shine on everything. The before-and-after results were always astounding. The last time I was able to buy it was in Job Lot over ten years ago. I have tried other brands like Simple Green but nothing came close to the results I got with Clear Magic. I'm sure it had some kind of toxic solvent like TCE in it and that's probably why I can't get it anymore, but man could it clean!
I feel you. For a brief time there was a product available called Kaboom that would obliterate mineral deposits in the bathroom. It was a godsend with our hard water and although I’ve tried everything, nothing works the same. I still look for it sometimes - it came in a very distinctive purple bottle.
those corkscrew shaped fluorescent light bulbs..... I don;t know why but suddenly they're very hard to find.... I love them for plant grow lights, I used to use a few different sizes for my plants, and they were so happy in winter! They just don't like LED as much.... I found some on amazon, but they were expensive...
Oh man, what I wouldn’t give to just be able to buy regular old incandescent bulbs again...{{sigh}}

Junket. I know I can buy the enzyme "pills" but it's not the same as buying the dessert mix in the box. Also Jello 1-2-3, and Fizzies.
I too was a fan of the canned macaroni and cheese.

I know there was at least one World Market in NJ and at least one Bed Bath and Beyond with an entire section was was essentially a World Market store and now in NC I have a World Market near me so it's not just NH and MA

I know that I can technically buy this on amazon - but... it is about $4 a bottle and I refuse to spend that much on it....and if I can't buy it in a store (which I cannot) then it has been discontinued.

Clearly Canadian... It's probably not even as good as I remember but I remember it fondly.

I'm looking for a photo for this thread I read that they can still be bought in some places. But not anywhere near me. :/

If you have a Meijer’s grocery store, check there. The one by me is stocking it.https://www.meijer.com/shop/en/beverages/water/sparkling/clearly-canadian-sparkling-water-wild-cherry/p/6647900005

DH and I are Gen-Xers....and we both had Moms who worked....and we both remember these so fondly. We'd probably hate them now...but throwing this frozen "breakfast" in the microwave as a teen....was the best.

I only liked the chocolate and swirl, but damn, if vanilla was the only one left, it was better than nothing!!! 😋 🤤

From my childhood def the Pudding Pops, Hi-C Ecto Coolers and these ice cream bars called Gold Rush bars my Grandma used to keep in stock in her freezer. They were kinda like Ice Cream Snickers bars. This might be regional but there was this ice cream brand (I was a fat kid) called "My Favorite Ice Cream" (no, really that was the brand name, it was sold at Tops Markets) and they had this flavor called chocolate layer cake. I miss that one.

I miss the things I used to eat at Olive Garden that they got rid of. Like the Spinach Artichoke dip with the bread. And the capellini pomodoro. And the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Those were my go-tos. I don't go to Olive Garden anymore.

Since Covid, I can't find diet Squirt anymore. Or my Pepperidge Farms Lexington cookies. I had a series addiction to those cookies and I haven't had one in months. My blood sugars have never been better. Over here stuck eating fruit. The horror of it all.

Cheddar's has a decent Monte Cristo.

Bed Bath and Beyond have a World market section? I didn't know that - thank you so much for that info ❤❤❤!

I did a Google map search to find the World Markets - when I zoomed out they didn't show any outside of the MA and NH ones. Sorry I assumed that was it! I should know better than to trust Google maps. I send in corrections to them all the time :)
