***Official March 2021 Thread***

Why is that the one thing you shouldn't do?? Only asking because that's exactly what we are doing 😬😬😬
Yeah what skeettafic said. I also read years ago that going on Sunday is a bad idea for the same reason (those arriving on Saturday start their trip on Sunday at MK) so I just take it with a grain of salt because I am not so sure none of this matters anymore. Especially during these times. I always start our trip at MK for our first park day so it obviously doesn’t bother me. I’m a rebel like that :rotfl2:

MK is generally busier on Monday because people who come in over the weekend want to start their trip there

Ahhh makes sense. We purposely planned our trip so we won't be in the parks on a weekend day since those seem to be nuts right now!

But it also makes sense for us to start and end the trip in MK! 🏰🥳

Who knows! So long as we are in Disney it'll all be ok 😊😊😊

Our trip is in ten days and it will be my third time at WDW since the Covid restrictions were put in place. We were previously there the last week of October and the first full week in January. And I went to WDW for a quick weekend trip the last weekend in January. We managed to avoid getting sick by spending just a few hours in the parks and limiting indoor dining to just a few restaurants.

One thing I've noticed is that mask compliance has been much better for our January trips than it was back in October. I think that the people who are visiting Disney now are being very good about following the mask rules. Social distancing is still tough in crowded areas and you will find people who are not very good at staying 6 feet apart in lines. But otherwise, we have felt safe at WDW because of the high rate of mask compliance. :)

I also noticed that crowds were worse at MK and Epcot on the weekends.

We are lucky enough to have gotten the first dose of the Moderna vaccine this past Monday, so we will have a little immunity for our upcoming trip. It won't change our plans, but it will let us feel a little safer in the airports, airplane and restaurants. :)

So where you all live, when is Spring Break for your schools? My daughter's high school in NJ is the full week before Easter starting 3/29.

Missouri here. My kids school just has a 4 day weekend March 12-18. The school in the next town has a full week March 22-26

Just venting here (as well as on the Ticket Thread). Our start date for our tickets is 3/31. Now that there is some availability for HS, I'm trying to change our start date for 3/29 and book HS studios that day. It's EASY on the app to do, no extra cost, but after I press submit, I'm getting a "sorry, had to duck out" message. I've been trying since 7 pm last night. I'm so frustrated and so scared HS will turn yellow again. I do not have time to call and stay on hold forever right as I am working from home and in meetings allllllllllll day.

I hate the date based tickets! Sorry, I hope you get it resolved.

San Antonio, TEXAS. Snowing. AGAIN! #$*&!@##!!! We have power. No water. And my mother in law is here 🤐. Grocery stores are completely bare. 16 days to our trip.

So sorry to read this. Sending warm and positive thoughts to all of you impacted by the weather. Are you able to find water?

My kids have been out of school for 2 weeks now bc of this stupid snow... It's not even that bad here. It just keeps snowing every couple of days so the gravel roads never really get cleared...

We’re going to MK on a Monday AND to HS on a Sunday...which seems to be the busiest park these days. But I’m not too worried about it either! Ha!

We’ve been out all week, plus a couple of days last week. But we got over a foot of snow! It’s supposed to get above freezing this afternoon for the first time in over a week, so I imagine we’ll be back to school next week. Regardless it’ll only be 3 weeks until Spring Break, when school resumes! So this has been the perfect time for our family to “Disney Talk.” We’ve even started packing some essential stuff like...ears, magic bands, sunscreen, t-shirts, etc.94799974-2DC2-419A-A572-84ED4BE357FE.png

We are getting another thumping of snow today in PA. I'm starting to be concerned that the weather will mess up our trip. 16 days till we try to escape to warmth and sunshine!

We live in Virginia so we've been out a bunch the last couple of weeks because it takes pretty much nothing to give us a snow day. Ice today so I'm sure they will be out tomorrow as well. And we've been fully virtual since Christmas. They finally go back hybrid next week! Three weeks until break!

I have to buckle down this weekend and do some online shopping. Both kids need spring/summer stuff and not being able to get someplace with open dressing rooms is a pain. I ordered a bunch of new masks because most of our reusable ones were getting a little too used so I have to see how we're dividing those up and who has what. I'm just ready to be not cold.

I remember the days of kids outgrowing *everything*.

But what I wanted to comment on is the MASKS. The cloth ones are super cute, but I found the disposable ones more practical for Disney. This way if they get wet (water rides, rain) or sweaty, it's an easy change as they take little space in a bag. Also, no need to wash them. Just toss at the end of every day.

Oh, and if you have any mask chains, those are so helpful, too. That way, when you eat, you can just take off the mask without needing to lay it down anywhere.

We are definitely bringing the disposables. There's talk of my kids going back 4 days a week instead of 2 after spring break as well so I figured replenishing them wouldn't hurt. And my husband is super particular about his so I ordered more of the one he finds most tolerable.

My oldest is 16 and last summer pretty much ended up getting rid of most of her old summer stuff as she had outgrown it from the summer before but because we literally went no where the entire summer, she lived in the same 3 pairs of athletic shorts. lol So her stuff is pretty rough. My son is 12 and all of his tee shirts are starting to look like crop tops.
