i got an adr for 9:45 at ogas. i don't know much about it. i have me, dh, dd (23), ds(17).. ... so i just go and drink a coffee or juice? is there food? And i hope to get ror bg so how does that affect things if i am lucky enuf to get ror?

Your server will inform you that you have a maximum of 45 minutes to enjoy your time @ Oga's Cantina.

You can look up their menu online and there are many blog/vlog reviews also.

I usually drink water and our family shares the charcuterie like board and bits and dip. My husband gets an alcoholic beverage and on this last trip both adult daughters just got one of the drinks that tickle the tongue.

We like a table or booth and you can request one when you check in.

No real breakfast meals at Oga's.

It’s no issue if you’re boarding group conflicts with your time in the cantina. Just show up to ROTR when you’re done, provided your boarding group has been called. They see this every day.

You have a one hour window to show up for ROTR after your group is called. We were inside Oga's for maybe 10 minutes when ours was called, but since you only have 45 minutes for your Oga's reservation, it was no issue.

As mentioned, they don't really have breakfast items and I'm not even sure about coffee/juice? I would plan to use the ADR as a means to check out Oga's rather than using it to replace breakfast that morning. There's also a good chance you will be taken to the bar or one of the high top tables around the bar, all of which is standing room only.

Will they allow you to take something from Woody's to enjoy at breakfast time?
Maybe? You'd still have to order a drink or something at Oga's though. I also would caution that you still may have a wait to be taken inside Oga's after you check in, and you could be put at a standing table with no seat. I have heard of other scenarios where people do this at different QS places, so its probably permitted, though it might not be the easiest logistically.

and i was also wondering on mde it says it's a limited experience. i assume because of covid. what would i be missing?

We did Oga's pre-pandemic and in October, and didn't notice anything different as far as the experience. In fact, in October in the midst of the pandemic, it was actually more enjoyable because you weren't packed in shoulder to shoulder with strangers. During our visit pre-pandemic, they gave us maybe 6 inches at the bar as our space.

  1. Get ADR
  2. On the day check in with a CM at the time of your ADR
  3. Wait in line to get to the host stand, usually about 10 minutes
  4. The host will bring you to your assigned area, either a standing table, a booth or at the bar
  5. When you are assigned a space, you have to stay in that space for the duration of your visit. Once you leave that space, it will be assigned to someone else
  6. A server or bar tender will take your order, maximum 2 drinks per person.
  7. When the server brings the drinks, they will also bring the check and you will be expected to pay.
  8. When you finish your drinks and are ready to leave, then you can have a walk around
  9. DJ Rex is an animotronic DJ playing music. He is located in a alcove of one of the walls. Depending on your assigned area you may not be able to see him. He was originally part of Star Tours and his ship crash landed in Batuu and he is now employed by Oga to entertain guests in the Cantina.
The standing tables are high
Check out the menu online, so that you know what to expect
Its loud
Servers and bar tenders may stay in character

We went to Ogas during a breakfast time with kids, so was not really a time for bar drinks. I remember the kids ordered a drink that had a cookie that came with it. It's cool to see the inside but I agree not a place for a meal. We ended up having to stand and share a high top table with another party we didn't know. My DS wanted to see the inside besides that standing area. I took him for a minute walk to see the other side and staff scolded him. It's definitely a one and done experience.

wondering if anyone has been there since pandemic this year began in the morning times and what that experience is like regarding walking around.

To each your own, but I feel Olga's is the biggest and most disappointing rip-off in the parks. The two of us had to stand shoulder to shoulder and pay $38 for a beer and whatever drink my DW had. I expected to see servers dressed up as aliens. Nope just regular bar tenders.

I just booked a 9:05am lunch reservation! Do they serve alcohol that early?
This was pre-Covid. But I went during fall 2019 when they were doing the 6AM openings. I was walking around GE and the hostess at Oga's asked if I wanted to go in. There were several others in there drinking alcoholic drinks around 6:30 in the morning. Never too early on vacation IMO haha
