Out-of-state visitors to be welcomed back June 15th!

I wonder what this means for the remainder of June then? Only a few days left to reserve DCA only as of now, but I'm thinking they will up the capacity again soon. Only asking because we are reserved for 6/24-26 and have family that wants to go with us... however I'm concerned with crowds now and no FP. Plus, I haven't even started to think about food and ya'll are scaring me lol!
I have those concerns too! As soon as ticket sales opened to CA residents in April I booked June 15, 16 & 17. I am thrilled that out of state visitors are welcome soon, but honestly I'm freaking out over capacity issues. I REALLY hope they ease into raising capacity rather than opening the flood gates on June 15th!!😳!!

I wonder if the out-of state news (good which it is) also applies to those of us who are DL fans but are resident outside of the USA ?

No it does not. You need to check the rules about travelling to USA set by the Government of your country AND you need to check if your country is listed here Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Non-Immigrants of Certain Additional Persons Who Pose a Risk of Transmitting Coronavirus Disease

I'm from Ireland and for me to visit Disneyland 2 things need to happen
  1. My country needs to allow international travel to USA. The Irish Government currently states no international travel. Until this is removed, if I travel out of Ireland, my travel and health insurance is void and I am not going to risk travel to USA without health insurance.
  2. The Executive Order signed by The President of USA in January which prohibits people from Ireland from entering USA needs to be reversed. Until my country is removed from the list of countries not allowed to enter USA, I can not visit Disneyland California.

Just booked for 7/5-8. There don't seem to be any Cafe Orleans (or Blue Bayou- where I can get that Monte Cristo!!!) reservations available for that time. Have people had luck finding cancellations at all?

Having the same problem! Not seeing much availability for our July dates for in park dining. Are all the restaurants open right now? How far out is the booking window?

I'm hoping they open up more restaurants by August- we always eat at the Carnation Cafe! I would sure miss it.

This is all around such good news- feels like a giant sigh of relief. I'm glad I stayed positive and booked my flights when they were still so cheap!

I wonder when Candy Cane Inn will open.

I had called them last month and they said then that they are reopening in August. I didn't ask for a specific date because that didn't work for my trip. But they were quick to answer the phone so they should be able to give you specifics!

Related not Related but wasn't sure where to put this - is there an official July checkin thread yet?

A tip for those looking for dining, clear your cookies and keep trying. If you search for a meal period (lunch/dinner) and find nothing try again using each specific time during that window (7:00pm, 7:30pm etc...). It's a pain, but it may yield results. Many of the locations are not listing times after July 4th or July 10th (depending on location). I check back several times a day to see if they release the later dates.

I have everything we want for July 9-12 except Tortilla Joe's for our departure lunch on the 12th (no judgement on TJs as it is our 13 yo's favorite...despite it being my birthday, what we do for our kids...lol). I really wish they would open SH55 as it is our go to for the departure day breakfast. Thankfully under appreciated by the casual DLR traveler...:)

It looks like Carthay Circle is on hold as well as I bet they are figuring out capacity and logistics for the entire restaurant opening as opposed to only alfresco. Hang in there and see you in the parks!

Mike
p.s. I'm all for a July thread now that the OOS folks won't be looked at with derision for planning a trip

Both Sea World and Universal are currently letting in out of state visitors, but at the top of the site it says per state policy, out of state visitors must provide proof of full vaccination. Universal even says out of state visitors have to be older than twelve.

Currently Disney does not have this on their site. Should I assume this will change once they start letting in out of state visitors? It would be a good thing for out of state families to know that their younger kids can't get in yet.

Someone asked on Candy Cane Inn's Instagram when they would reopen. As of 6 days ago the response was that they didn't know, but hopefully by late September or October.

The guidelines Universal is following regarding vaccines go away June 15. Disney's protocol post June 15 do not indicate they would do something similar and I doubt they will. I would keep checking their website daily for guidance because this will all be fluid until they are back to 100%.

Great News!!! We want to take our first time, and only, visit for this fall. I'm thinking October or early November. Is this a good time to go? I have no idea about the weather or crowds in California. Thanks:)

There is currently an option to get a half Monte Christo at the eatery next to Soarin. I think it’s smokejumper Café or at least it used to be.
