Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

Have any DVC owners been able to book tickets yet? My friend is DVC and said they wouldn't let her book when she gave that reservation number. She has a split stay and they let her book using the regular cash room reservation.

I have been calling since 6:59AM and can’t even get put on hold. Getting Free Dining back in the day was easier than this, and I never thought I would say that! lol

I was just telling my husband this same thing!

UPDATE: I did press 4 when I got through at 7 am. When she said no, I lied and said GS told me previously it would be fine lol. I was placed on hold twice while she spoke to her manager. Ultimately, they let me do it! Tickets for Aug 10 acquired. I was verbally given a confirmation number and the tickets will be mailed to me. I was so mad! Definitely press if you get told the same thing!

Tickets are being mailed?

A CM* just told my friend that because they aren't a DVC member (though renting points and are staying on property at a DVC resort) that they can't buy tickets? This can't be right?

edit: I said someone, that someone is a CM. Should have been more clear.
I wonder if the resort CMs and dvc CMs have different inventory “buckets” for the event. I suspected as much for the Wish cruise a couple of weeks ago because when I called in to book on DVC day (8 hours on hold, ugh) I was told there were no rooms of a certain type for my sailing, but when the moment I had a cruise booked I was able to modify it on line and there were dozens of rooms of that type available. It made me suspect that the phone CMs were limited in what they could offer DVC guests—maybe something to do with how DVC contracts with Disney for certain member benefits.

Anyway, it would explain why they are only able to accommodate DVC bookings through member services (who can only speak to the owner, not a renter). Total guess on my part though.

I thought Ms didn’t open until 9? Is this the regular phone line? I guess the regular line can’t touch the DVC reservations.
Also what option is everyone going to pick for MS, #1?

I’m a DVC owner. I called the passholder line and gave them my dvc confirmation number. I’m booked for 8/20!

I thought DVC Member services opens at 9am.

CM told me 9 am for DVC. I booked using the AP discount instead, but at first she couldn’t get that discount to work so I asked for the DVC discount and she said it wouldn’t be available until 9

I wouldn't be surprised either. Same thing happened to me with the Wish (and the same awful phone challenges, though I was successful eventually there...). I saw I could modify online right away and did so, with many more rooms open...and of course ended up upgrading and spending more money once I could see them all sitting there open... 😂

I got a live person, we booked using DVC points (own at Beach and Grand Floridian), gave her our confirmation # (which I pulled off a from MDE live not the confirmation email), and she cannot find our reservation. She cannot book our tickets as her system cannot find our reservation. The exact same reservation that the MDE site is showing me. After 1 hour and 50 minutes on hold.

But we are also AP, I called the AP holder line to get into the hold queue for event tickets. Our room is booked via DVC points though.

Were you ultimately able to book successfully?
