This was me in September (well, it's more that SW kept changing the flight and it ended up making more sense to come in a night early - except then the flight got canceled that night and my non-refundable room ... well ... I was not a happy SW customer that night).
Looking at the disability thread, Disney is not making appointments for the video chat. If you click the link you are in the queue waiting for a CM. You may want to wait a day or two before doing video chat, if your trip is not within a few days. Reports from yesterday of waiting four hours or more and then being dropped and told to come back today.
Hopefully the kinks are worked out on that one. It seems like it could be a net positive to get that done ahead of time for the families that need the service.
It annoyed me because I booked one night stays when it was the only thing available, but I couldn't make any changes because single nights were no longer available to book
I finally found multiple day stays, but basically had to spend hours looking and rebook everything to get the dates to line up. I could not find any reservation that included 11/12 for weeks (except Dolphin). Finally found AK, but couldn't modify my stay to add it, so had to book again and cancel the original (no, phone CM couldn't do it either)
And allows those families a bit more confidentiality when explaining what their need is.
I saw him yesterday! He was great!
Would be hard to pack up and leave. I wonder how many others will make the same choice?
I wonder if Shop Disney will have any cool merch for this.. Kinda hope so
