Ladies, your opinion on a bra with this dress.

Ok this is the dress I am wearing to my husband's office Christmas party. I need to know, do I wear either a strapless bra or a navy bra with straps?

What about a clear strapped bra? Personally I want to wear a strapless bra, but with needing a size 38D, I'm not sure how well the girls will hold up in a strapless.

I would go for straps. Nobody will really care, unless they are an unusual color. Black, navy, flesh colour should all work.I wouldn't go for white, red or pastels.

I've never seen a bra with clear straps but that would work otherwise I would go with a flesh colored bra. I think you'd see those straps less than if wearing a navy or black bra.

Strapless bra. A longline strapless bra is what you want if you’re bigger busted. The Felina Body Veil Longline is a great one.

I would go with a bra with either clear or flesh colored straps. Yes, navy would match the dress, but it will show through the meshy part and look like you have a navy stripe on your shoulder.

This, exactly. Clear straps are available in the lingerie department or on-line and many good, sturdy bras have the detachable kind that you can switch out for the clear. And yes, it is a lovely dress.

Clear straps are good for when you're not under any sort of light. Once you are the plastic will pick that up and shine so it becomes more noticeable. Colored straps even flesh colored will be more visible but not so when you're under light. So perhaps take stock of what the environment would be for that.

My first choice would be a strapless only because of the mesh on top. But I understand where you're coming from regarding your concerns about it. I'm a very "matchy" person, so my next choice would be regular navy bra. Look around, I was surprised to see all these new bra options out there. I was at Ulta yesterday and saw lifting tape for under the breasts. I've also seen strapless bras that are much more supportive than what they had back in the day. Your dress is beautiful by the way.

You can find more translucent/cloudy straps that aren't shiny and reflective.

Love the dress! I think black or blue bra with straps would look very nice. I think flesh colored is too old lady looking and I’m not crazy about the clear straps either.

That's good to know because the ones I've seen in stores are shiny or they are those type of straps that come with clothes to help them stay up on a hanger and those degrade over time and wouldn't be able to hold my chest up without tearing. But a good point for the OP to know!

I would try it on with a navy & a flesh color. And see what you think. But if you have the time to find a good strapless bra that fits you might get a lot of use out of it.
