I keep an open mind - I doubt they're aliens, but I don't dismiss the idea either.

Personally? I think our Governments are sitting on some vastly advanced aircraft that they'd rather not tell us about.

I am sure there are better places to go site seeing in the universe. And I doubt our planet is on anyone's bucket list.

Also I never really understood why advanced lifeforms would randomly fly around doing weird things. They never do anything normal. Their life goals are cutting up cows, making circles, messing with people on dark country roads.... I mean seriously? If they are in fact visiting they have to be drunk when doing so.

I think its probably more like us watching shows like Honey Boo Boo or Tiger king. Are they stupid shows? Absolutely yes. Are they impossible to look away from? Also yes. Earth is the universe's Keeping up with the Kadashians and The Real Housewives with a dash of Tiger King and Duggars mixed in. It's a train wreck you can't stop yourself from watching even tho you feel yourself losing IQ points by the second.

Similar to another recent thread on this topic. The fact YOU see something in the sky you don't recognize does NOT prove the existence of UFO's or that they were from another planet. Most turn out to be optical illusions, weather phenomenon, hoaxes (like many crop circles) or aircraft you happen to not recognize.

I am open to the possibility that there is something else out there. The universe is a big place and this planet developed intelligent life form so I imagine that it can happen on other planets. As far as if another life form has visited this planet, who knows?

Yes, of course. I also believe in ghosts and have one that has followed me from house to house since around 2002. Luckily he’s a hide your keys kinda ghost and not a scary poses people one.

I have seen something in the sky I could not explain. When I was young, I was looking out our front door, which overlooked corn fields as far as the eye could see. A large, round, disc shaped object, glowing with a faint green light, came floating silently towards the house fairly low in the sky. It stopped and hovered for several minutes before heading south, changing direction without turning. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. Do I think it was extraterrestrial? I have no idea. There were military bases in several directions not terribly far away, so odds are, it could have been something they were testing. But since I don’t know what it was, it’s a UFO to me.

Sure. I think it highly unlikely that in the vast universe we are the only planet with intelligent life. I'm not going to say 'no, it's not possible' when I have personally seen things I cannot explain. Not a UFO, other stuff. But yeah, why not? What's the logic in saying it isn't possible?

yup. I believe in life out there.

too many stars out there... too much possibilities. I want to be alive when we get to make contact. I would go if given a choice to go space traveling .... love to meet someone like Zaphod Beeblebox... I got my towel.

I don’t believe we are the only intelligent life that exists considering how large the universe is. Also, when considering the size of the universe, who knows when or if we’ll ever really know. It would be like two humans walking the Earth in the hopes of finding each other except your odds of doing that are probably a lot higher.

"Thanks to new research using data from the Kepler space telescope, it’s estimated that there could be as many as 300 million potentially habitable planets in our galaxy. Some could even be pretty close, with several likely within 30 light-years of our Sun. The findings will be published in The Astronomical Journal, and research was a collaboration of scientists from NASA, the SETI Institute, and other organizations worldwide."

Note the bolded. Our galaxy. There are an estimated 200 BILLION galaxies. The math on this is staggering.

We are absolutely NOT the only one, nor are our inhabitants likely to be the most intelligent. But, we will all live in isolation from each other because of the sheer vastness of the universe and the impossibility that travel between these specific planets can be completed within the lifetime of most living beings. It's interesting and humbling to remember that, in the big picture, we are insignificant.

My view is that most UFOs people see are just planes/helicopters/drones created and operated by humans. That doesn’t necessarily mean life doesn’t exist somewhere else in the universe, I just don’t think they are visiting via UFOs. If extraterrestrials are visiting us I would expect their technology would be far more advanced than ours and possibly not even defectible by us.

Exactly correct. There is no way we are the only life in the universe. Also likely that we will never come in to contact with them due to distance.

For a serious response; I feel like there HAS to be other life, regardless of how advanced. And due to the age of our universe civilizations could've risen and fallen by now. We are a prime example, as we have only existed for a blink of an eye in terms of our planets age. And we aren't doing so well at this point. If you think about it, **** Sapiens have only been around for 200,000 years. Our planet is 4.5 billion years old. To be honest I doubt our species will make it another 200,000 years.

Side not: one mindblowing estimation is that there could be 5,300,000,000,000 habital planets in our universe. That's 5.3 trillion opportunities for life to exist. The odds are pretty high that we aren't alone.
