Do you prefer your banana muffins with or without nuts?
(I think it’s walnuts if I remember correctly)

For Me….I make some pretty darn good banana muffins (I’m eating one right now) and I always make them without nuts. I can’t eat nuts due to my ulcerative colitis, but even if I could, I wouldn’t add them because I wouldn’t want anything hard and crunchy in my muffin. Before my UC I have had banana nut muffins and they were just ok - I tolerated it because I had no choice.

I love nuts but not in other foods so that's a no for me. So I would love one of yours right now, Slo. Yummy! :)

If a banana muffin had nuts in it I would not eat it.
The ones I make have a delightful streusel topping -yum! I haven’t made them in forever.

I like both, but wouldn’t put nuts in ones I made as my family wouldn’t eat them.

I actually make banana bread instead of muffins.

I prefer blueberry or pumpkin to banana.

I use nuts sometimes. I like them, but if it is for the grand kids, they don't.
I would do part without, then add nuts to the last part of the batter.

I don't make them often. DGS prefers chocolate and he will bake those for his family sometimes on baking day

I make banana corn muffins, without nuts. They are delicious warmed and spread with peanut butter. They make a good breakfast and I believe they are a complete protein.

I don't like banana muffins, banana bread, etc. Of course if that's all that was being served for breakfast, I'd eat them, but it's nothing I'd choose. However, if I have to eat them, I prefer them with nuts.

I‘ve never had banana muffins. If I did I would prefer no nuts. I don’t like nuts in things like brownies, ice cream, fruit cake and candy. I like nuts by themselves.

Either is fine for me. Warm, with a bit of butter. Usually bread rather than muffins.

Side note, I always think banana bread, pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, etc, all taste so similar to me that if you told me one of the breads was one of the others, I'd say, 'nice, very tasty', and think it was the other.

I voted with, because if I actually made them, and they were just for me, I'd put the walnuts in (and maybe chocolate chips, too!) But if I'm eating one that somebody else made, whichever way they like them is fine by me. :goodvibes

No nuts but love the crunchy streusel topping

No nuts b/c of allergies, but I never liked them in it anyway...

The proper add to a banana muffin is (dairy free) dark chocolate chips - you won't have any muffins left within hours of baking...

I usually put nuts in my banana muffin batter. Usually depends on what’s in my pantry and needs to be used. Pecans, sliced almonds, walnuts. I toast them in a tiny bit butter before adding to the mix.

Other add ins I’ve used from my pantry or fridge: (not all together)
Chocolate chips
Dried cranberries
Fresh squeezed OJ
Peanut Butter
Zucchini

We make banana bread with chocolate chips. We bake three or four loaves at a time (freeze at least one). Must be eaten warm so the chocolate is melty.

Probably 50/50 on whether we add walnuts or not. My oldest (who is out of the house now) liked the taste, but not the texture so we would basically grind the nuts instead of coarsely chop to add when she was younger.

If I make them, I make them without nuts and I prefer them that way but I will eat them if they have them. I'd never turn down a banana muffin.
