Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

good morning. if i am staying at a hotel near universal, can i take an uber on our epcot morning to beach club, and walk into epcot via international gateway? and same thing leaving at the end of the night, walk back through beach club to the lobby and take another uber back to our universal area hotel?

thank you

That should work. When the Uber driver pulls up at the guard house, sometimes he/she saying "I'm here to drop off" is good enough and other times, they security guard presses for why they are dropping you off. Usually an answer of eating, shopping, meeting a friend is good enough and they will let you through.

oh ok. yeah i can just say i want to visit the boardwalk. i think that should be ok. and leaving shouldnt be an issue as well either i think. i can just cut through the beach club and head to the lobby/entrance, and request an uber

i only ask because i am assuming with genie + i will be able to score the remy ride sometime in the morning, so it makes sense to take an uber to that entrance instead of future world...

It can be hit or miss for them letting you in. Some guards are more strict than others. I was staying there and arrived in an Uber and the guard wouldn't even let me in at first! Finally after calling someone he let us through. You may have better luck getting dropped off at the Swan/Dolphin, they don't check there.

Leaving from the BC via an Uber shouldn't be a problem however.

Yup, technically if you don't have a reservation for dining or staying at the hotel they're not supposed to let you in. Some guards will not care and will just wave you through, but others could turn you away.

hmm ok then. maybe i will try swan and dolphin. or maybe just get dropped off at the epcot main entrance. i would hate to get unlucky and be turned away at beach club and then its like now what?

They have been much stricter lately. Technically without a reservation they may not let you in. I would get dropped off at the main entrance of EPCOT or if you really want International gateway, get dropped off at HS and walk/boat/skyline over.

yeah, i will probably now choose the front of the park and go from there. it seems to be the easiest access point

It's been almost 3 years since I've been to Disney (I had my last trip interrupted when the parks closed in March 2020). DH and I are FINALLY making a return trip, staying at the Yacht Club from March 9-18,
Welcome back! We will add you to the list.
Our trip got cancelled/postponed from late January (17-24) to Feb 25-March 3. Can you update us?

We're staying at Beach Club 4/17-4/19!

We will be at YC 9/7-9/14/23!
Have a wonderful trip, everyone! We will add you to the list.

I just caution you to be prepared to be told no. I have encountered more "strict" security people than lax. They usually ask why specifically or even ask your name to check reservations. It could have been my luck. However, I did have reservations or actually stayed at the hotel so it was never an issue.

One time we used a Minnie Van so there was no issue at all.

Just be prepared to have another option if they don't let you in.

My husband and I are returning to the Beach Club on Wednesday! It has been quite some time since we have stayed there. We are coming for my granddaughter’s cheer competition. It was the only resort I could get two rooms on the club level with my cast discount, my grandchildren are very spoiled! My grandson will stay with us because of the 4 person limit in the rooms. We will be switching over to the BWI for our annual anniversary trip before my son leaves and Oliver is thrilled he gets to spend one night with us at the Boardwalk.
Anyway, looking forward to being at the Beach Club again and trying 2 club levels this trip!
