Free Covid Home Test program resuming Monday

And now local schools are already having students posting videos where there is no soap in the bathrooms. For days at a time. Very disgusting.
Oh no, that is horrifying not just about Covid it is a legit public health concern, it's community tax money and kids - for goodness sakes their basic needs come first, it is our money and our kids after all.

I hope parents take it upon themselves to donate soap to the schools.

Do NOT get me started on dogs in shopping carts. So disgusting. Dog hair is just about everywhere I go anymore. On restaurant tables, in shopping carts where I put my food. even went to a doctor's office and a lady had her emotional support dog sitting on an office chair...licking itself.

How did this all become acceptable behavior?

I blame Paris Hilton. She always seemed to have her little dog with her when the paps photographed her. I don't remember it being a thing before then.

In my area there seems to be no limit on who can bring their dog into the store.
ANY store - grocery store, mall, you name it.
They are not service dogs, nothing on them to indicate it.
A while back I saw a woman put her dog into the large part of a Dollar Tree shopping cart.
Well, that convinced me to wipe my stuff down at home from now on!
Yes, they think it's totally acceptable for their dogs butt/paws to be where food will be placed
by the next person

People will attack you for saying this in the real world. It's like people went nuts and will fight to the death to defend this disgusting behavior of allowing dogs to go anywhere.

I wrote a microbrew (one of my favorites) a friendly IM after they posted a picture of a large dog sprawled out on one of their tables. He literally stretched from one end to the other. It got hundreds of likes. They serve food. I asked them to reconsider normalizing dogs on tables at their establishment. They wrote me back, basically telling me to get a life and there is nothing wrong with "furbabies on tables".

I never went there again, but people now post pics of their dogs hanging out on tables at this place. It's a trend. Some even drinking a beer with their tongues out of the glasses that serve humans. Many people "like" these pictures. I was raised so differently.

I’m glad I’m not the only 1 who finds it disgusting. I’m sure people see me wiping down my cart & think I’m going overboard. But the thought of a dog being in there where I put my fresh produce is absolutely nauseating. But even wiping my shopping cart handle & inside, I get plenty of exposure to germs & my immune system is fine. :thumbsup2 I was raised differently too. We had a dog growing up & 1 when my kids were young. They weren’t allowed on furniture or in the bedrooms. We loved our pets, just didn’t need their germs & fur everywhere.

Don't you put your produce in bags before putting them in the cart?

We ordered right away and still no alert that we are receiving them any time soon:magnify:

I ordered @ 9:30 Monday morning. Mine said “shipping starting week of October 2”. I figured nothing would be delivered til later in the week a the earliest. It’s great some are getting delivered today.

The soap dispenser has long been stolen or at least ripped off the wall so many times it is not replaced.

The middle schoolers ripped the doors off the stalls one time too many and the doors have not been replaced at the middle school closest to me.

Boys were peeing in the soap dispenser at DDs high school. A kid found out when pee splashed all over him when he went to wash his hands. I think she said now the dispensers aren’t refilled as often and all bathrooms are locked due to this and vaping.

DD said it was a tik tok trend. I don’t have tik tok so I have no idea.

Back in my day had that happened in my school there would’ve been war and an all out brawl if someone got pee on themselves in that manner. Cops probably would’ve been called. Now everyone thinks it’s funny except the one it happened to. That would not have been funny in my school.
