My university is hosting a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and we have a member of the original London cast to introduce the film. On Monday night, I will be dancing and singing with my University president in one of the ultimate celebrations of acceptance and debauchery.

So what say you, Dis-folks? How many times have YOU danced the Time Warp?

SO JEALOUS! 💋

I was in the theater quite regularly when if first came out ... for years. Almost went last month. I immediately bought the LP which I still have. Fell in love with Tim Curry. DH got me a pirate VHS 35+ years ago, now replaced with legit BluRay. I introduced my DS to it and we've seen it in a few unusual places where it was presented different. So cool! Many Halloweens I watch it. DS says if he gets married and there is a mother/son dance that is what he wants to do. I don't dance, but he knows he might convince me if it is the Time Warp.

So who is the cast member?

As a teen we used to go EVERY WEEKEND at midnight to see Rocky Horror LOL- have seen it a ton of times since and even got my daughter hooked on it.

Never. Only seen bits and pieces of the movie on a small screen.

However, there was a local theater that had a midnight showing once a week where they had to clean up popcorn thrown in the theater. The UC Theater (which has never been affiliated with the university) had a 22 year run - mostly with a group doing reenactments during the movie at the stage in front.

The theater is mostly for performing arts such as concerts or other events, but it's still equipped to show movies and the new management has been having shows for a while on Halloween.

My now wife (then girlfriend) and I went with a bunch of co-workers to a Saturday Midnight showing. I had never heard of the movie. My first clue that this was a different movie was the sign at the door of the theater that said "No toast, rice or water sprayers allowed". That was the only time I saw it in a theater, no clue how many times I have seen it since on TV. That was 1981.

I've only been to a real show a couple of times, but I have a fun story about the song.

DS had a sleepover for his 10th birthday party, and the theme was Time Warp. I turned all the clocks in the house to different times (which totally worked in my favor at bedtime :thumbsup2 - they thought they were up way later than they were) and the activities were all planned to correspond to different decades - soda shoppe sundaes for the 50s, tie-dye pillow cases for the 60s, etc. Each time we changed decades, we played the Alvin & the Chipmunks version of the Time Warp song, and the kids danced around.

Way too many times to count. I first saw the movie when I was 14. Joined my first shadow cast at 15, mostly playing Columbia and performing pretty much every weekend. Ran a couple of my own casts over the years. I've played every role except Brad, most many dozens of times. Still a huge fan, and I catch a screening with a live cast whenever possible.

And then a step to the ri-i-i-ight...

Was introduced in college, and have seen or experienced it many times since. We hosted an outdoor screening at our place, complete with props. Such fun.

Way back when (I think the movie had just recently debuted), a move theater in my college town used to let you into the midnight showing for free if you wore pajamas. Thankfully no one had cell phones to record it!
