Marathon Weekend 2024

Reminder that this set of tables are usually pretty good:

Just go back and look at what you used for either POT submission or estimated finish time on your registration. If you could also re-post your bib number and what you put as your estimate I'll update the below. Also please mention if you are a club runDisney member that gets a corral boost because you're bib number reflects that.

At least Corral A with 100% certainty. You're possibly Elite with that bib number if you're female. Won't know with better certainty until runner tracking comes out and we can see which bibs aren't being used. But Elite bibs are usually the top 10-12 of males and females if they choose to assign them (sometimes they don't assign all the numbers).
lol-I am 20,295. Sorry for the confusion. My POT was sub-4:00 marathon.

I think I messed up. Last year for the marathon my DW and I posted a POT of ~2:50 for a half and ended up in E, which was awesome! This year we did get a POT we could have submitted at ~2:35 for a half. There was a lot of discussion that if you post a POT that was longer than Disney's POT cut off it could actually hurt you.? So this year I didn't submit our time POT. I just submitted a non-POT start that would have put us in E again, based on there ranges. Looking at our Dopey Bib #26731 and the old charts I think that puts us sqaurely in F. :~(. (So feels better to post a POT even if it’s over.)
You technically do not have a submittable POT. The drop down box states that you need to submit a race that equates to a 4:30 or faster marathon. 2:50 and 2:35 don’t qualify, so yes, RD definitely reserves the right to pop you in the last corral. The person verifying your time was actually nice and did the calculation and put you in E because your 2:50 half translates to a 5:55ish marathon time which is the finish time for that corral. You would need a 2:07ish or faster half time to submit a POT for marathon/Goofy/Dopey.

A 2:35 calculates to a 5:23ish marathon so it would have benefitted you to select an estimated finish time of 5-5:30 from the drop down box which should be corral D.

Dopey 270XX with no POT and a 5:30-6:00 estimated finish and expected pace of 10-12 for the 5 and 10K. @DopeyBadger

ETA--my bib number is one digit away from someone else with the same charity, not sure if we submitted the same/similar info or not, but I think that's interesting.

My bib for the half is much higher than last year with the same estimate. Wondering if they do charity bibs differently?

@DopeyBadger I’m 615xx for 10k with an 8:00-10:00 estimate and 447xx with a 2:15-2:30 estimate.

In today's episode of what am I doing wrong has anyone else tried to link their BIB to their PhotoPass/MemoryMaker yet? I tried:

but Pluto is not pleased:

Is it just too early?

I have no comparison for my bib numbers since I did Dopey the last two years, but here they are.

Time estimate for all was 10-12mm and I AM Club rD Platinum (usually puts me in B).

5K: 706xx
10K: 605xx
Half: 411xx

RE: the TSA posts-got stopped both directions for MW last year. Going because of the large bag of Epsom Salts, returning because I cocooned all 6 medals in a cloth bag forming a giant (apparently suspicious) lump at the bottom of my popcorn bucket😆

LOL what I usually do when bringing suspicious things through TSA is pack them in a separate bag, literally a plastic grocery bag or tote bag or whatever I have. Then if I get stopped, they don't ruin my nicely packed carry on and only have to search the one bag. When I came home from Oogie Boogie with hundreds of candies I just put them through the scanner in their own bag. Didn't get stopped, surprisingly! Then post security I put them back in my actual bag!

Email them. They will help. I did not ask for a replacement runner, but last year they issued me a $200 Disney gift card, which I applied to the hotel room this year. They are VERY UNDERSTANDING. They will help if they can.
My mom called on Tuesday evening and she ended up talking to someone who told us to fill out the form online which says that someone should respond within 24 hours. It is Saturday night and we still haven’t received a response. Had to go ahead and cancel our hotel reservation yesterday because of the 5 day cancellation for a resort only reservation. If they answer we will go ahead and rebook but this customer service we are receiving is just terrible and Disney usually provides really good customer service. Extremely frustrated right now we can’t even get a response.
