Any restrictions on taking an Uber to Riviera resort?

I know there are some resorts, where you have to have a reservation or a dinner reservation to be allowed in by car/rideshare. Is Riviera one of those resorts? Was hoping to take the skyliner from there to Epcot.

Many resorts restrict access unless you have a dining reservation, especially at park opening. If you want to ride the skyliner, take the Uber to Disney Studios & ride it from there.

Thank you! Do you know roughly how long would it take to get to Epcot by Skyliner from HWS? This would be the middle of the afternoon, not rope drop time.

You will have to get off at CBR & change to the Epcot line. Usually there are very short if any lines in the middle of the afternoon. It will probably be about 20 minutes from Studios to Epcot if there are no lines. We almost always stay at YC & take the skyliner back to the hotel in the afternoon. It’s a nice relaxing ride, especially when it’s not busy.

Somewhere on-line there's a map of the skyliner routes with the times marked for each segment. I believe Epcot-Riviera is roughly 13 minutes, and Riviera-Carribbean Beach, where you change, is about 5 minutes. I know the times on that map are fairly accurate-I once took the skyliner round-trip from Epcot to Carribbean Beach and back, and then checked on-line at the map and found that the actual total was within 2 minutes of the estimated map time. Just another crazy thing to do on a solo trip when you really enjoy riding the skyliner!

I found this in Undercover Tourist

They times it at 20 minutes from Epcot To Studios. A lot of things can change the timing tho. There are times they slow the line or have to stop it temporarily. But about 20 minutes is what we usually find it to take.

Thank you both!! Very helpful!!

We Ubered to Riviera in October for a character breakfast ressie, and the guard at the gate only let us in because we had the ressie. He even asked for the name on the ressie. Our experience says it will be doubtful you will be allowed in to use the Skyliner.

That’s what I was wondering. Thank you!

I went to the poly and Riv last night

Both time the driver said “Lyft dropping off” and were were waived in

Hmm… so maybe they only check in the mornings…

I imagine they’re just trying to keep people from using the back gate at Epcot during rope drop to get on Remy faster…
I always imagine how pissed off my rideshare driver will be if they’re turned away and have to drop me at an unplanned location and then I plan by the rules I know will work, otherwise hello 1 star!

If that is the goal, you can always Uber to the Swan or Dolphin and walk over.

I don’t suppose anyone here would know the situation at Lowe’s Portofino over at Universal? We have a reservation at BigFire one night but would love to be dropped off to Portofino to listen to the sunset music before heading over.
