Why is Disney's photopass web site the worst site ever made?

Is it just me or does dealing with the photopass website feel like getting teeth pulled to anyone else?

Unless I want to DL every picture from the past 2 years, I have to click each picture I want to DL individually, then do a 3 click process to actually get it in the queue to DL. If I want to delete pictures from two years ago, I have to click on each individually and do a 2 click confirm process to delete.

I swear Disney makes the worst web sites.

Ha! I hear you! I couldn't DL any of my DLR pictures and someone from PP IT had to send me a zip drive of all my photos to my email so I could get them! At least I got them, but still, kinda hoopty.

We are also ordering the CD - editing and downloaded are both horrible ... And as AP holders with friends - there are over 2000 photos in our account!

Same here. Ever year it's the same. Takes forever to download, then there's always 1 or more group that doesn't go through, then I have to comb through hundreds of pictures to figure out what ones are missing. There is no rhyme or reason to the pictures they group together either. drives me nuts how if 8 of us ride together, it loads 8 of the same picture too. I literally spent hours deleting all the multiples. But I think the worst is the technical issues that seem to be constant. I got the same message for 3 days in a row last week that I should come back tomorrow and the issue will be fixed.

It's even worse if you have a ton of pictures from Jedi Training:rolleyes: I just downloaded them with my laptop while watching TV. I still need to do my summer pictures:sad2: I wish you could select multiple at once and then download.

Yeah it's not fun at all. I have 1400 pics in my account since I'm AP and have alot taken every trip. I just broke down and downloaded all of the pictures and deleted all the ones from the previous trips just to have the ones from the July Trip. Then I just went through the July pics to make sure they all downloaded.

I'll probably do that again with my next trip since it was actually faster than doing them individually. I do wish you could just select them by dates for download.

My son is in college for software engineering and I told him he should apply at Disney when he graduates. He said No Way - all of their IT needs a total overhaul and he doesn't want anything to do with that. LOL

I nominate the D23 ticket site as the worst site. You can't even adjust your cart without emailing them and waiting 5 days (if your lucky). They don't sell out in minutes, they just have thousands of people with tickets they don't want stuck in their carts.

Just started editing my 1100+ pics and it literally took over an hour to do only 20 photos! How can Disney put their name on such a faulty website like this?

It has always been the worst website ever. I was so hopeful this time, I haven't used it since the update with the MDE. Yep- still awful. It errors out constantly and is such a huge pain. I like some of the new options (being able to choose any border/sticker vs. the only the ones they would allow for each shot) but wow- it is bad.

Here's their post from their facebook page, posted yesterday
We are now seeing a significant improvement in download success and encourage guests who need to complete the download process to please try again. If you continue to experience problems, please call us at 407-560-4300, or email us at disneyphotopass_support@disneyworld.com.
As a reminder, we will continue to provide complimentary 15-day extensions to the active photos of guests experiencing issues during the technical impairments. This will allow plenty of time to complete the download process.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this inconvenience

Oh, darn it!! I had a similar experience two years ago, so I asked here if it was any better now... I probably titled the thread wrong, because the only people who responded said the site was fine! So I purchased t for the trip we are on right now!! Hoping that yulilin 's Facebook update holds true! We have a TON of ride pictures coming.

This Photopass editing is driving me insane !!!!! I get a few pictures done, then inevitably a box comes up saying there has been an error in saving. THEN, you have to reload the whole photo library, try to begin editing again, and hold your breath hoping that you can get a few more done before the errors start again. You would think with the billions of dollars Disney rakes in that they could produce a functioning website.

Disney web applications have been bad since they first went on line. They are constantLy advertising for web programmers but their pay is not great.

I agree!
yet, IMHO, the Disney Bean Counters have Vetoed fixing PhotoPass!
WHY?! BE cuz they LOSE the $$$$$$ to fix it!,
AND YET!
Guests STill BUY the Memory Keeper/PhotPass!

Period!

Really terrible website. Also, certain photo pass photos, e.g. Enchanter Fairy Tales with Belle, you get a card with a number on it after the show and it gives you the photos.... along with every. single. kid. that had their photo made with Belle. It took forever to delete the pics of children I didn't know.
