PPO breakfast and Jedi Training Academy sign ups?

Does anyone have an recent experience with this? Right now I have breakfast booked for me and my son at 8:25 at Hollywood and Vine with pretty much the sole intention of having an easy sign up for JTA. We will enjoy our little breakfast date, but its primary purpose is to avoid spending the first hour of our morning waiting in lines.
I know everything is subject to change, but is there a reasonably good chance they will continue letting PPO people sign up before breakfast? Do we just head over there beforehand? What time are we allowed in the parks, do we get in right at 8 or is it a certain amount before our reservation? Anything else I should know?

I did a PPO breakfast on September 14th and was able to sign up for Jedi Training before breakfast and even got an anytime FP for another ride.

Yes, they generally allow those with PPO breakfast to sign up for JTA before checking in for breakfast. Try to get there bit before your ADR time. There will be signs directing you to sign ups once you get into the park. There are usually cast members directing you there too.

Worked for us two weeks ago! Sign-ups were just barely down from h&v ... dh stood in line for the restaurant while I took the kids to sign up for Jedi training. Got the first show time as desired. Food was ok, but worth the easy sign-up!
