skipping squeeze room on haunted mansion?

Well this is good to know. I didn't know about this, and I am very claustrophobic... That would probably freak ME out, lol, so I will definitely ask to skip this room.

Another thing to note is that the average person is about 25 pounds heavier now than in 1970. Over 20 or so people, that's a fair amount of added girth. Even if it's the same amount of people, it's going to feel a lot more crowded.

Yes, very sad, but true...lots more "pooh size" today. Though I don't know if they let a certain number of people in or just pack them in until the room is full.

Yeah, that funnel is nuts. We always go right to the doors in the stretch room, so that we're first out and can get to the ride queue...helps a little in dealing with that cattle chute.

I know this is an obscure reference but before we hit the crazy funnel room I give my family the Daniel Day Lewis speech from "Last of the Mohicans" in case we get separated.
You stay alive. You’re strong. You survive. You stay alive no matter what occurs. I will find you…no matter how long it takes, no matter how far. I will find you.:sail:

I know you will have a hard time with this but I need to skip both and no I will not say why.. so it will work not every one need to skip both and guess what when you skip one or both you are in the same place the CM just directs you to two different places, what every one fits your needs is where you go.

because aPP bought it up and this person has had a few problems with the way I do things at disney

yes I do know how it works and that it is not just a simple walk to the right place. but for some people they have to do it for there own safety not because they are too scared ( and yes this is a good reason too) just like people with mobility devices skip the stretching room it is for there safety.

I believe others take issue with the advice you give about skipping lines/rider switch and chicken exits because the advice you give is based on your experience with whatever your unique situation is that you've alluded to. You also use DAS, if I'm not mistaken, so the advice you give is not applicable to many people here.

Haunted Mansion CMs also used to "play the part" a little more. In more recent years, from my experience anyway, they don't scare or try to frighten guests like they used to... (ex, walk around when the room gets dark & pop up next to a guest)

Well I wish I would have known this. This would have saved me 3 times of having a child bury their head in my side and cry the whole time in that room. She wasn't loud but I could hear her sniffling. Happened when she was 8, when she was 13 and when she was 14. For some reason that part of HM just scares the dickens out of her.

I don't know if we were lucky or not...
My daughter got very frightened there. A CM noticed, and pulled us aside. He had a tiny flashlight, and without giving away much, explained what was going on. He gave her a card that made her Honorary Caretaker and whispered that he was really a grandfather and wouldn't put small kids on a ride that was harmful. Immediately, her mood changed. She loved it. We went on two more times during our week and she kept the card with her.
We wrote a letter to Disney after our trip about him.
