Hidden Gem TS Restaurants?

What are your hidden gem restaurants? I've done all of the mainstream "popular" reservations and I'm ready to try some that I may have missed. Our son is 12, so we don't really need to do character meals any more. What restaurants do you consider your hidden gems? Can be for any time of day -- parks, DS, or resorts. GO!

I agree with Trails End, especially considering the bang for your buck and traveling with your 12 year old son. I'm sure he'll love the grub! :-)
Beaches and Cream would probably be a nice fit as well. Not sure if it qualifies as a "hidden gem" necessarily, but it's a fun experience in a great location with simple kid-friendly food, and fairly priced.

For Beaches and Cream, not on the menu but you can order smaller versions of the sundaes like No Way Jose if you're not a huge eater.

We've always felt comfortable (and enjoyed the food) at Olivia's at OKW. And last trip we finally tried Nine Dragons, despite the bad reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Olivia's is somewhere that I would definitely consider a hidden gem. Kind of out of the way, not talked about much but does a really good breakfast, nice lunch and underrated dinner. We are staying at OKW in two weeks and kicking it off with an arrival breakfast. My wife is already anticipating that Banana Bread French Toast. Looking forward to it.

The Wave has never disappointed us. There's always something for everyone on the menu. The service has always been excellent too. It's something our whole family can agree on. The environment there feels nice but not too fancy and we love taking a trip over to the Contemporary.

Tokyo Dining is often overlooked since it looks like a lounge area for Teppan Edo. The service is amazing (the best I've had for a 1 credit TS) and the sushi is solid.

I'll throw in another vote for The Wave. Food is always quality, especially for the price, and the atmosphere is quiet without feeling dead. Probably the best place to get a meal if you just need to escape from the madness of the parks for a little while.

Martha's Vineyard at YBC... Usually very quiet with a good appetizer selection (enough for a meal) and great bartenders!

I'm interested that you said "usually very quiet". Makes me wonder if I hit it on the one bad night-every place can have one. A whole bunch of drunks talking VERY loudly. Hmmmm-maybe I should give it another chance-it WAS a pretty place.

By "usually", I mean the times I've experienced it. Maybe we've been very lucky? :earsboy:
