Photopass

One question again: Does anyone know, what kind of PhotoPass spots and characters there are during a normal Halloween day during the week? They canceled both parades, so I am a little bit afraid that there will be less characters and PP opportunities...

When I was there last year, all the characters in Fantasy Gardens was dressed up. That's the only special thing I noticed they had on top of the regular spots.

I am a little bit confused about that. I was in contact with a CM by E-Mail a few weeks ago, who told me that the Photopass is only valid for one day. We visit HKDL in 4 weeks and it would be so great to get all photos from our 2 days at the park on one card. How about the photos taken during the dinner at Chef Mickey's at the Hollywood Hotel. Are these photos also included in the Photopass+ or do I have to pay them seperatly? We arrive in the afternoon, where we will not visit the park, but want to have dinner at the hotel, so I would purchase the Photopass+ in the store in the hotel, when this is possible...

Do you have an update on this, please?

Photopass for regular guests is per day and dining is to be purchased seperately.
If you have an anual pass you can buy one valid for a year but the dining ones will still need to be purchased seperately

we were there in April with 2 day tickets and bought a 3 day park photo pass from the store in Hollywood Hotel. We didn't buy the dining one as only had breakfast at Chef Mickey so not worth it for us. Really happy with the photo's we got - the photographers spent a long tine with us on more than one occasion.

They don't offer the hotelguest photopass permanently, they 've been doing tests with it but I even doubt it's currently there.
My 9 day trip in May (I have the anual photopass) gave me 1700 photos... and I travel by myself hahaha

that is not not good to hear. We had over 600 photo's in 2 days so very happy we had the pass and would be very disappointed to not have it on future trips. On the same trip we had the annual photo pass in Shanghai even tho' we were only there for 4 days (well, 2 full and 2 half days) as it was better value than 4 individual days. Tokyo was terrible IMO - they only offered photopass to annual pass holders - no day pass. Only option was to buy the prints individually in a presentation folder with stock folders which weren't cheap and seriously what would you do with those crappy cardboard folders ?!! Mind you, if ypu lined up for characters you could only take ONE per family with your own camera so they railroaded you into buying their's :(

Yeah the rules in Tokyo are very different. The photopass is not for AP's there but for all local Japanese. One CD can hold up to 80 pics of your choice taken within 14 daystimeframe. I luckily have local friends in Japan.

my least favourite park and that's one of the reasons 'how to alienate any foreign tourist' lol at least it saved us money buying any photo's!!

It’s sad to find out the Photopass Plus is only for one day now and only one photopass card can be linked. I check it out using the app and the purchase price in the app is $299 instead of $389. Has anyone purchased Photopass Plus using the app? The price shown should be in HKD right?

We bought the photopass+ today in the park. The $299 is hkd. They gave us two cards, one for pics and one with an activation code. It was confusing and we ended up having the photo shop guys help us with activation. It was raining today and i didn't see a single photopass photographer out, not even for my indoor picture with Chewbacca! We only have some ride photos associated for the photopass. Kind of disappointing

Even no photographer for indoor meet and greet! Sorry to hear that. I think I shouldn’t buy the Photopass+ ahead of time if weather can cause such an issue. Thanks for sharing!

It is indeed very fluctuating how many photographers they have. In the morning none of the characters have photographers except for Minnie and Mickey on Town Square.
The afternoon sets usually all Town square and fantasy gardens have a photographer and sometimes the Duffy meet as well. when the weather is nice there is a photographer at the castle.
Star Wars characters never have a photographer regardless the weather/day...

We are going to HKDL and SDL next month. 1 day for HKDL and 2 for Shaighai DL. Which park has more photopass opportunities? We are just party of two (father and son), mostly interested in on ride photos. Any advice?
