What doesn't matter to you

Some people seem to be bothered that the Great Movie Ride is going away, others seem like they would rather elective root canal surgery than change the redhead scene. None of these bother me much at all, outside of the inconvenience of have the rides closed.

So what inside of the parks do you just not care about? I don't mean things you want gone or hate, simply stuff you wouldn't even notice if they changed or replaced. Zero points for Stitch or Ellen's since by now everyone has talked so much about them that they have become hated.

What bothers me is things not making thematic sense. GMR changing is okay. Universe of energy needed to be changed but Guardians doesn't make sense and their "Peter quill went to Epcot when he was a kid" story doesn't really work.

Something like stitch or monsters inc doesn't make a lot of sense in Tomorrowland either so I guess that doesn't matter to me at this point.

The entire carnival part of New Fantasyland, Hall of Presidents, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Swiss Family Treehouse.

Lion King movie in Epcot, Mission Space, any of the movies in World Showcase, Innoventions (except for the music which I love), the entire American pavilion, the African outposts.

Since I can't ride any thrill rides, I wouldn't care if any of them changed/closed. And - no flamers, please - but since I am not into Star Wars, wouldn't care if Star Tours closed/changed, and I will go to see the new stuff probably 1 time out of curiosity sake, and that's it. Also - since I don't drink anymore, I never notice/care about bars/lounges, or drink menus anywhere.

I've never seen the muppits show so that wouldn't bother me and I normally walk by the Astro Orbitor or whatever it is across from COP and don't even notice it's a ride most of the time so that wouldn't bother me. Frankly, I don't think I'd get real mad if anything shut down, I'm a little sad about GMR because we love it but it's not the end of my world.

I dont care about Pirates changing. It was never a beloved ride to me. So much so that I never noticed this scene before, so i can't miss something i never noticed in the first place.
I dont care about Energy Adventure leaving. The pre-show is SOO good. It's unfortunate that a lot of people walk in late (as they let people straggle in as its playing). But thats about it. Its a prime piece of real estate that could go to something better.
I don't care about Great Movie Ride.... per se... My favorite part was the ALIEN segment. I will miss seeing animatronics of ripley and the xeno(s).

What i DO care about is the possibility of Star Tours closing once Galaxys Edge opens. All it needs is some tinkering with the in-ride scenes and retheme it like there's a Star Tours airport on this planet, and voila! But someone said somewhere the idea of a Muppet themed simulator ride...now THAT could be fun.

Yeah, everything I am seeing is Star Tours is going away/being returned once Galaxy's Edge opens. It is located between Muppets and the Indy so I hope it gets retheme to one of those as part of an expanded Mini-Land

They already changed the one area I cared about for the worse, Norway. There's nothing sacred to me at Disney, everything is up for grabs. I wouldn't be thrilled to see ToT or Haunted Mansion completely changed, but I wouldn't care about changing individual scenes within either ride.

Honestly there's nothing that I absolutely must do. I just enjoy the moment as it comes. I'm sure there will be things I'll miss if they go but nothing I'll get upset about. Our next trip will be completely different as we will be traveling with our grandson, who will be turning 4 on the trip. I'm looking forward to seeing the experience through his eyes.

I think there are a number of things that would bum me out but then it would depend on what replaces it. I know I was really upset when's Wishes left - but I thin I HEA is a worth replacement.

That was my reaction to the change to Pirates - I was. Immediately at first due to it being a classic scene, etc but got over it and hope the change is a good one (my take on how it looks in Paris is "meh")

There are some shows I don't think are great (Little Mermaid, BatB, etc) that if they left I would really mind. I was pretty unimpressed with Dinosaur - that could change. Haven't done the Shooting Gallery - that could go (though so have fond memories of doing that with my Dad). I am sure some other things

Same, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Matterhorn etc in Disneyland California I just walk on by. Big Thunder Mountain was closed on my last visit to Disneyland Paris and it had no effect whats so ever on my touring plan. The big hooo haa over Tower of Terror to Guardians of The Galaxy just woosh over my head, not interested.

I don't care about character meals, princesses, Minnie or Mickey Mouse, or park holiday parties.
Same, I have no interest in character meet and greets. The only character meal I have done was in Disneyland Paris on Christmas Day. I booked it because of the restaurant and menu / food, not because I wanted to meet the characters.

I've heard there's more stuff back in Dino Land other than the Dinosaur ride. I vaguely remember walking through there once 15 years ago. I wouldn't notice if anything happened to it.

They could remove the Bride in the HM attic ( eyes ALWAYS closed on that part)...and remove my name from the list of Bride names on the wall out back...at least there isn't a date by it...:scared:

I just got around to listening to last week's News podcast...and when John referenced that as "great Disney storytelling," I could not believe it. This is probably the absolute WORST example of Disney storytelling in the parks that I have ever heard.

And shockingly, everyone on the podcast agreed with him! WHAT????? I think the sleep deprivation caught up to them...or they were still riding high from D23 and not thinking straight.

As far as what I don't care about in the parks:

Country Bear Jamboree
Tom Sawyer Island
Imagination
Universe of Energy (I would be angrier about the GoG thing if I actually cared about this ride, but I don't.)
"Innoventions" (raze those buildings already...)
Anything Muppets
Pretty much all the stage shows (except Festival of the Lion King)
Fantasmic (it is so bad at WDW...sorry)
Conservation Station at AK
Daytime parades

Chester and Hester's Dino-rama! There was an episode where Dustin went through all of the theming and back stories of Animal Kingdom that's fascinating.
