4 WDW Resorts to allow dogs

Boy, tough room here----- my opinion is? And I don't care if you asked for it or not......

campgrounds is not a resort.
as well as cabins are not a resort.
Port orleans and riverside are the same resort.
and they can only list each of the deluxes once-- even if they have a DVC section.

So IMO that leaves 18. (added OKW and SSR)

And it's a gift to differentiate between the all stars--- so counting them as one brings us back to 16......

Well, technically speaking...port and Dixie were designed to stand alone...just next to each other...

So that's 2...

But pop and Art of animation were not...so that's 17, I guess

...and now I've gone cross eyed...

Totally agree on fort wilderness...no different.

And three converted buildings at poly is in no way an "experience"...

Lets go with a mere 16 different resorts to pick from. 17 with Star Wars Hotel.

oh yeah the star wars resort..... and the one they are building in front of epcot.... and the new DVC.... maybe this one will have doggy pee mats outside of every room... or on the balconies...... there's the hook everyone is looking for.....

The only problem with 4 is that they are gateway resorts....

4?

Ok...sorry..."gateway" to them collecting fees and not saying no to anyone

Yeah I jump around a bit. AM ADD. Mostly to having dogs at all the resorts. Then they would all stink.

It would seem likely that if the trail is successful and makes money, then they it expand to the majority of the resorts (probably earlier than next Fall). I'm sure there will always be some pet-less resorts.

As much I think locking a dog in a hotel room most of the day is selfish, since the Universal resorts have not had a problem with their similar program (at all 4 resorts), I'll withhold judgement. Most of these threads are pure worst-case scenario speculation, I'll wait to see if they become worst-case scenario reality.

I know my dog would rather be in a cage-free kennel playing with others.

My issue isn't with dogs...though I know disney travelers and it's NOT the place to bring your dog...but that doesn't really affect me...

...my issue is the ill thought, 90 day stock cash grab mentality they rolled it out with.
Good grief...spend a little time and overhead getting the word out...invest a little in "canine logistics"...

..in essence: don't look so amateur.

so if your dog is in the room and your not how does it get cleaned. Does MK come when your back from the parks or what? Do you not get Mk everyday just on the last day. Pee u

I think your use of the MK abbreviation to mean MouseKeeping instead of Magic Kingdom makes your comment confusing, lol.

Hell no...
...that is not how they staff housekeeping. Any cleaning done after about 5 pm are what are called "pickups"...problems, early checkout, rooms with maintenance issues.

They are not gonna have 15 housekeepers cleaning rooms at 10 pm. It's disney world - a dog in the room is not an incredibly good idea.

You can make an appointment for housekeeping to come when you are there. Or you can just decline (I imagine without any sort of gift card payoff like in other promotions).

Lol...they're not doing 24/7 "appointment" cleanings...that costs additional overhead. I imagine the scheduling "windows" are gonna be like 7-5

Oh no doubt. More than likely they are hoping to get out of cleaning these rooms at all without paying the gift card promotion. So they aren't going to make it easy.

I noticed US charges for unattended dogs? Do they mean in the room?
