When you drive to MK...

My friends are going to drive to MK for a one day visit (their first time!). I have always stayed onsite so I'm not sure where they will park? Do they just follow the signs to the lot? Then would they take a monorail from TTC?

Thanks!

Yup, just follow the MK signs and it takes you right to the parking lot. Park, walk to end of the row to get on a tram, tram takes you to TTC, take monorail/boat to MK.

Just remind them to make a note (or take a picture) of their parking row. If they have never been, they may be too excited to remember exactly where they parked, and may regret it at the end of the night. :)

Yes, great idea. OPs friends are only coming for one day, so that may be all they need. For those who stay longer, I made a "flag" that I put on our car so that it's incredibly easy to spot, I posted about it before. I started with one of those little car flags you stick in your window, then I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 5' long pool noodle. Slide the pool noodle over the flag pole, use tape to secure it and you've got an instant 5' tall flag...in neon color...sticking up above the crowd. Takes 10 seconds to put up and 5 seconds to take down, but makes finding your car as easy as can be. At the end of a long day, it's really nice.

Good point. I assume they'll have their own car...if a rental, I'd say take a picture of the car too, just in case... Also, what we do is I'll send my DW a text message with the car location (something like 'Simba 123R' , which would translate to Simba lot, row 123, Rear (or F for front)). That way we both have the location...

The other thing to tell them is that it takes quite a lot of time to park, wait on a tram to the monorail, wait for the monorail, take the monorail to the park, walk to the gates, then enter. Have them allow an extra hour just to be on the safe side for all this in case they just miss the tram after they park (and/or the monorail/ferry). Also allow time for ticket purchases if they don't have them in hand.

ALSO - as they go through the parking pay booths, stay to the left. The right side goes towards the resorts, left side to the parking lot. Then of course, stay to the right since at one point the far left will leave the park. Plenty of signs, but it is easy to get turned around and heading in the wrong direction with so many things to watch for.
