We are attending the 11/28 party with a 5yo and 2yo...first parade is really our only option. How early do you think we'd have to get to Liberty Square to watch? Ideally we would like to do the 8:15 Frozen show but the parade is more important.

Be near Hall of Presidents about 30-45 minutes before the parade start-time.

I agree with Robo.

We arrived about 40 minutes prior and stood in a spot close to Sleepy Hollow/Hall of Presidents with a trash can directly beside us so our view couldn’t be hindered and I could somewhat control my personal space.

I was reading your post on the MVMCP thread and was actually trying to find out where you sat/how early you got there but I couldn't find it! I'm glad you responded!

Was it a good place to watch? I don't feel like we will miss Main Street because it is just so crowded!

Near the Hall of Presidents is one of the better parade viewing locations.
Another is deep in Frontierland, near Country Bears or Pecos Bill's.

Thank you for this - such a great map! We are planning to watch FoF from Country Bears - just hoping that we don't miss too much magic by watching the MVMCP Parade from somewhere other than Main Street!

FoF is just fine near Country Bears.
Have fun!

We're in a similar boat for the 11/28 first parade (2 yr old and 6 yr old). I was thinking of watching from the train station so that we could make a quick exit after the parade. Has anyone been able to watch the 8:15 Frozen show and then watch the parade from the train station? Thanks!

You can't see much (if any, really) of the Frozen Lighting Ceremony from the train station, if that's what you're asking.
You will certainly be able to see the LIGHTS, but not the ceremony with the characters.

Thanks! I was hoping to watch the Frozen show from closer to the Hub, and then try to find a spot at the train station for the parade. Probably aspirational that I'd find a spot at that point. :)

If you can find a spot closer to the Hub that also offers a view of the parade, I'd not move from that spot.

I thought about attempting this - trying to scoot from near the castle to a viewing spot near the train station. I'm now wondering if I can get across Main Street if I watch the parade in Frontierland. i.e., watch the parade at its origin point in Frontierland until the last float goes by, and make it back to Main Street and over to meet Mickey. The parade is probably long enough that that would be impossible - not really sure.

So is the area near Hall of Presidents better for MVMCP parade viewing than in front of the Frontierland Shooting Gallery? That's where we always used to watch MSEP (by the Shooting Gallery). Though I'm still torn about watching it from Frontierland vs. Main Street/the hub.

You can pick any area that's your preference.
If you like a certain area for one parade, it should be just fine for other parades.

The reason I mentioned those two specific areas is that they tend to be less crowded.

This is anecdotal and of course YMMV, but I like the Shooting Gallery side of the parade path because I find it easier to “move around” the street to adjust my view. Those porches in front of the buildings there make nice walkways. We don’t like to wait for a spot so are usually scrambling at the last minute... easier to adjust to conditions over there. GOOD LUCK! :-)

We were just across from the Christmas store. I’m a big fan of finding a spot beside a trash can so people can only crowd you on one side and you have about three feet where your view cannot be hindered.

Thanks! I've heard of people watching near Hall of Presidents before, was just curious if there was anything better about the viewing of MVMCP parade from there but I'll probably stick with near the Shooting Gallery as that's usually what my boys want to do! Sounds like we'll see how we are feeling that night with the crowds and play it by ear. Odds are good we'd possibly catch the second parade on Main Street anyway as we head out for the night.
