Has anyone started your taxes yet?

I've started mine with the information I have so far, but am still waiting on some documents. I'm not in any rush as I know we're going to have to pay in this year.

DH's company stock statement won't come until March. I have bought the Turbo Tax and have collected the documents I can. Curious to see if we hit the AMT because I had higher than normal 1099 income and we paid our March property taxes early so they fell in 2017 since we won't be able to take them in 2018.

I'm guessing we will owe $5K combined between Fed and State. Hope it's lower though!

DH started, but we are still waiting on some documents, we always owe, so I feel no real urgency regarding the matter.

Just installed TurboTax...I'll get started on the info we have but still waiting on a bunch of forms.

I've done mine but haven't hit the button to file them. I sold a house so can't do the simple ones so will have to pay to do them and can't have the payment taken from my refund yet. When I can, I'll push the button to file.

I only have to wait on our W2's at the end of the month. Everything else is in IRA's so no other paperwork to wait on. It has simplified our tax filing immensely:thumbsup2.

Now doing my college kids taxes with scholarships, ugh, that can take a little more time because I gotta get my thinking cap on!

Has anyone started your taxes yet?

Now that you mention it, no....but I wish they'd get cracking already!

Me! I start a new file each January - for the upcoming year. Then, as soon as Jan 1 hits, I start entering it into Turbo Tax. Have W-2's entered, mortgage, dividends, credits, donations, etc. entered. Waiting on student loan stuff, some banking info, etc. I should be set to file in about 3 weeks..

I bought Turbo Tax at Costco last week but I have not brought it inside yet. It is still sitting in my car. So I am thinking about taxes but not making much progress.

I got my W2's today and filed on Turbo Tax. I have a very simple return. I don't own a home and do a 403B through work so my only paperwork is my W2. Now that my son is 17 I'm getting a very minimal refund. I'll hit submit this weekend.

I'm basically ready to hit "send" on our return through TurboTax. We have a super simple return so all we need is W2 forms. I am still waiting for mine. Was available electronically last Jan 31. And I could probably file without it, technically. I got all the numbers from my year end statement and just plugged those into TurboTax. We have a refund coming around $1500 total so I'm eager to file.

We have everything printed out, just waiting on all of our 1099's. It would be nice to get a refund.

We get our W2's by Jan 31st so we don't schedule until Feb 1st-2nd week. Our DD is in her first year of college so wondering what we can came on that. We usually get a refund but its been getting smaller and smaller

I did. 1040, simple taxes. So I used TurboTax free-file and when I finished, about to file it says some forms for the IRS aren't ready yet, they will email me when I can file. I guess I'm pretty early...

Oh well! I only did it today because some lady on the news was saying to do it as soon as you can! :rotfl:
