Can we stay DVC on two consecutive Friday’s?

Hi! Planning our Summer trip (we rent points) and it would be 10-11 days including two fridays - was just told (by a DVC friend in the family) that in DVC world that would require two separate reservations? Is this true? Can we not have one reservation span 2 Fridays?

We’ve rented before but both trips did not hold over for two Fridays

You can stay on one reservation that includes 2 Fridays. If the reservation was to be booked at exactly the 11 month mark for 7 Days, it would be 7 more days until a second 7 night part could be booked.

It would not require 2 separate reservations. If you need a DVC Owner to reserve for you at 11 months exactly, they can reserve 7 days at 11 months, and then call 4-5 days later to add on the remaining days.

If you are using a DVC Owner with Home Resort privileges, and it is less than 11 months (say 10 months and 2 weeks out), then they can reserve all the days at one time, assuming they are still available.

I think what your friend may have been trying to say is that it cannot be booked all together at 11 months only 7 days could then the others added on.

But it could be one reservation.

Might be difficult finding someone with sufficient points to rent for 11 days which could lead to two reservations

Thank you all! This is actually only 7 months away (not 11) and we were booking within the month of January for August so we should be okay then as long as the availability and points were both free (which they are right now)

7 months also has the same 7 night restriction right when the booking window opens if the points are from a different home resort. But that too can be added onto for a single reservation covering up to 30 days I believe.

Assuming it is not their home resort they would still need to do an add. There is no restriction to the number of consecutive days - the only restriction is how far forward you can book in your booking window.

30 days is the max per reservation.
