Anyone know which shows can be Fast Passed at TokyoDis & DisSea?

I don't know much about the shows, but I do know that Big Band Beat is a must-see and sometimes there is a "lottery" for tickets to the show.

I don’t remember any shows having fast passes. There is a lottery that can be applied for. On our first trip we got seats to the castle show at DL on our last night, and that was a treat. Never got tickets to Big Bang Beat though.

Fantasmic is interesting because you can watch it from all around the Mediterranean Sea. It’s done entirely on barges so it’s different than either California’s or Florida’s show.

Mermaid Lagoon Theater and Magic Lamp Theater have Fastpasses. They're the continuously run type shows, actually listed under attractions (instead of shows/parades) on the TDR website, so not sure if that's what OP was asking. We enjoyed the show at Mermaid Lagoon a lot, thought it was pretty different from anything we've seen in the U.S. parks. It has Ariel "swimming" above hanging by wires and a giant animatronic Triton. It's a circular theater and Ariel goes all the way around, so it felt pretty immersive. Magic Lamp Theater I thought we missed out a lot not speaking Japanese, so it was more forgettable to me. I think there's a translation device you can ask for, but we didn't try it.

For the lottery shows, TDL had One Man's Dream II and priority seating for the castle projection show. We had no luck with the lottery our first day, then the second day was quiet enough that there was no lottery. We lined up for One Man's Dream II about 30 minutes before and got in. It's a lot of dancing with different characters, sets, costumes - not really sure if there was a plot. I thought it was good, but not really a "must see".

As mentioned already, TDS has Big Band Beat, which is supposed to be great, but we weren't lucky with the lottery. I've read that the first show is all standby, but we didn't try it.

We also saw the outdoor show in front of the S.S. Columbia at American Waterfront in DisneySea. It's a different show now, but wanted to mention that there doesn't seem to be much shade, at least there wasn't where we were sitting and it was very hot (in June) with the sun beating down!

We saw the Duffy show at DisneySea. You have to eat at Cape Cod Cook-off (counter service restaurant) to see it. We went in the afternoon for drinks and dessert and there was no line (on a not particularly busy day). My 4 year old DD enjoyed it, the rest of us enjoyed the aircon and a place to sit. :)

THANKS EVERYONE FOR POSTING!

So, how do you get lottery tickets?

They're distributed via machines similar to the Fastpass machines. At TDL, they're located to the left of Space Mountain. At TDS, on the map it's at a place labelled "Biglietteria". I found it a little hard to find and had to ask (I can be a little clueless though). Basically, once you enter DisneySea and pass the walkway under the MiraCosta, turn left, it's near the shops and part of the MiraCosta building.

If there are 2 options, pick the one you want most, because if you get it, you can't try for the other option. If you're unsuccessful though, you can try your luck again with the other option.

I do not consider Big Band Beat to be a "must see." Not like Aladdin or Finding Nemo in the US. And not as good as Festival of the Lion King. It features a quartet of singers. When I saw it the two African-American singers were good, the two Japanese singers weren't. Whatever scenic effects and other staging elements they have are nice, but not that great. You get in via lottery.

Here is how the lottery works: you go to a kiosk near the theatre and you put in your info into a machine, and the screen tells you if you get in. A CM will be there to help you. If you don't, you can't do the lottery again. The problem with the lottery is that the lines can get very long just to apply. Seems like a waste of time to me.

I twice won the lottery, but I did so by going just before the final show when the line for the lottery had vanished. In principle, your chances are just as good.

I saw BBB via lottery, and I also saw a special show in front of the castle which was summertime only. it was an amazing show that featured an elaborate dance contest of Mickey and friends and water cannons shot off and drenched the audience. it was epic.

I did see another show which I thought was very much worth it. There was no lottery when I went, but I hear that now it is popular enough for a lottery. It was a show in Tomorrowland called "Disney One Man's Dream" that featured a lot of very rapid and impressive scene changes, from jungle to pirate ship, etc.

The other shows mentioned are more like constantly repeated attractions. They are worth seeing, but you don't need to do anything special to get in.

Fantasmic is awesome. It is the big nighttime show at TDS. No advanced planning required. Although it can be viewed from all around the harbor, there is a 'front' to the show, and you don't really want to see it from the back near Mysterious Island.

I do not consider Big Band Beat to be a "must see."

I totally agree with this.

if you really want to see it, though, the first show of the day is first come, first served, no lottery ticket needed. When we were there in April the theater was crowded but nowhere near capacity.
