DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Top O the Mornin Dads! School out again. At work. Hating the cold - heard that somewhere before? Have a good Friday. oh yea, one other item .....

[Really horrible stuff deleted]

Thanks, did it once before 10 years ago, they do a really good job and it really helped our team that constantly deals with a lot of grey area.
We really really need a BIG WHOPPING DISLIKE BUTTON on the disboards!

Heading down to central FL next week. Wish I could say it was to visit da world, but it's for an interview. Funny...they're both good, but sad it's not a visit to the mouse house.
I debated about staying longer to get in a day, but need to get back home.

The great thing is if the interview goes well, could be our pathway to move to FL and get APs. :yay:

By the way Mike, for your info...

Happy Birthday to our Pirate Princess Crash!

The evil snow is finally melting and it looks like we are in for a more normal stretch of weather which means the kids will finally be back in school on Monday. No word yet on how they are going to make up the snow days.

Got the word on when and where to meet up for the party but Netflix just delivered The Bridge Over the River Kwai. Had to cal her back and give my regrets. Will be spending the evening watching a great movie with my feet propped up munching Publix popcorn.

Do you have your MC Hammer pants ready? Hope the Pirate Princess has a great birthday.

Those would look good on CJ. :lmao::

Right boys, that's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one in LIV on South Beach with CJ for some heinous fruity concoction has to take Elizabeth Swann home. And let me tell ya, she can handle your sword like a master.

I'll gladly take that one. It would be a good way to go out. Elizabeth Swan has to be one of the top 5 Disney princesses.

Morning gents, and happy Friday. I have to announce a new addition to my family. No, not that addition - those pipes were cut a while ago. I'm taking the afternoon off work to go to the city humane services and adopt a kitten. Youngest DD has been pestering for a year now to get a dog, I kept refusing. I have nothing against dogs, I like other people's dogs, I just don't want one in the house. I had one when I was a teenager, so I know how much work they are. But all DD's friends have dogs and she desperately wanted one. I finally compromised and agreed to get a cat. Yes, they are still work, but not as much as a dog. DD has been beside herself with excitement all week. I'll have to send along pictures of the little fuzzball later.
.

My condolences. The family keeps pushing for me a cat. The answer is always no. Or, a conditional yes on winning the lottery, but I wouldn't get one then either.

I didn't realize the life expectancy back then was only 67. I wonder if the wars and loss of life at an early age caused that to be so low. I know we've had many medical improvements over the years, but I also know many of those folks back then lived longer because they didn't have all the preservatives and crap in their diet.
.

Some of it was from WWI and WW2. Also, health care hadn't evolved to what it is now.

Another It's a Small World fan. Yeah.

We are just going to club hop down A1A. Funny thing is she hasn't told me when to meet her or where.

Woo Hoo. Party time. I even dragged out my Saturday Night Fever outfit.

.

Perhaps if you put your disco outfit on and text her a selfie, she surely will tell you the club where she is. ::yes:: :lmao:

Good luck. If you land the job, find me one and I can start the moving process as well.

Now you're just being mean, Mike.

My hero.

Darn the luck. I'm sure you really wanted to go clubbing.

Morning boys, from a frosty London. The news is saying America is closed, so I guess its over to me and the Canadian brothers to hold the fort.

Watching Alec Guiness in Disco pants and white shoes is a good Friday night in anyones book.
OK I’ll stop now boss
Come on Mike, did you never see the Karate Kid? Show them no mercy.

After 30 seconds you metamorphorsise into someone else? Modern medicine, eh? Huh.

Good luck mate. You do know some of the job is waving on the bridge for IASW, right? Big part of the role. Crucial.

West ham take on the mighty Bournemouth today, and a win could catapult us into 9th, which for all normal teams is effectively 3rd in the table. Dancing for the curly haired Ninja, and the boy wants to come out for a run with me, so that's the morning. Out in a posh restaurant (like V&A posh) tonight, the best thing about it, is I'm not paying. It was part of Lady K's Birthday present from one of her mates. So Dry January is suspended for one night. As is the healthy eating.

Have a great day chaps, and may your day be a cornucopia of Dole Whips, Mickey bars and giant pretzels. London out.

This one isn't at da world, so I'm 99.99% sure it DOES NOT involve IASW at all (thank you Lord).

If I had a job that did include that aspect, I imagine I'd have to find some type of bluetooth earbuds that could fit in my ear and like @pkondz, listen to AC/DC or Led Zepplin or something all day long to survive. OTOH, that could prevent me from accepting the job to begin with. :lmao:

Did they put those walls up over night? I haven't heard anything yet.

Morning guys. About to make breakfast. Today is another lazy day and the plan is for college basketball. Seton Hall plays Xavier in the Big East and the big one is Florida/Kentucky at their place. Going to be a good day.

Any predictions on the games tomorrow? Rooting for the Jags but I think New England is going to win, Minnesota over Philly.

Fantastic movie!

Even though I disappointed her by not going clubbing with them, I had a better night. Sat in my gator fleece, poured a beverage and popped in the DVD. It is a great movie and one of my favorites. Haven't talked to her yet to hear what they did, decided to to let her sleep in. When we chatted yesterday it seemed like she was having a good day.

Pats and Vikings.

Saw a news blip that said Brady is questionable for tomorrow. I think the Jags should respond with "Everyone on the Jags are questionable, but we're coming for You..."

40 degrees outside - heat wave. Tennis this morning. Played well, but tired and sore. Both dds are at different events. Ready for a few hours of rest and tv.

Yeah. Make America Great Again by closing it. Of course, we could say that it saves us lots of tax money. But, at the end of our closure, we just pay everyone who did their work and pay for everyone who didn't do any work, which questions why they need to be working if their can go vacant for 3 weeks without any work done. Sounds like mafia no show jobs. :sad2:

Should be a good day if Kentucky wins. You should have woke her up early this morning. How bad was the hangover?

I don't think the Patriots need Brady to beat the Jaguars. And if it's close, there is sure to be a zebra to take care of it.

Seton Hall with the early lead. The Georgetown/St. John's game was a good one. Like football, I prefer college basketball over the Pros.

Typical New England BS. I hope they slobber knock Brady.

All of our good inside players are hurt so I expect Kentucky is going to win. If it rains Florida 3's then they might pull it off.

Texted her about 11 and she was already working in the lab so I expect it wasn't a blow out party. She did say she had a nice time time.

It would be enjoyable to see them lose.
