Good morning!!

I'm planning an upcoming trip (me and my 17 and 15 year olds and my sis, her husband and their 18, 16 and 9 year olds) and am seeking feedback on the Tower of Terror. I'm prone to dizziness with rides that spin, but have never tried a ride like the TOT that involves a big drop. Could other people who have a tendency to get dizzy on rides please share opinions on whether this ride made you dizzy? Thanks so much!! I'm trying to decide whether to give it a try.

I have no problems with ToT drops but I can't do teacups or anything that spins or even watching a movie with something spinning.

Never dizzy on Tower of Terror, but always light headed getting off and walking through the shop.

I don't like rides like Drop Zone at Kings Island in Cincinnati, it's more of a free fall. And, I don't do Teacups. ToT is like an accelerated fall and rise, and has never bothered me.

I have motion sickness and can't ride Star Tours or the Tea Cups. I don't have a problem with ToT making me feel bad but I HATE the feeling of being dropped. I think you should try it at least once!

I cant do any spinning rides but have no problems Tower in that it us up and down drops no spinning. as my then 4 year old grandson said it is the kiddie ride drop tower indoors. so if you have been to a park like Hershey think kiddie frog hopper tower inside with more adult theming not the high straight up and down towers that most parks have put in

I have motion sickness issues and I had a REAL problem with Tower or Terror. I felt very sick afterwards. Nausea, splitting headache and dizziness. Sounds like I am in the minority, though. Everyone is different, so you won't know until you try it...

I can't do spinning rides and have to close my eyes on motion simulators, but ToT has never bothered me. Also, I'm terrified of heights. So Soarin' makes me break out into a sweat and my heart races the entire time. But ToT doesn't bother me at all. I think because my feet are planted on the floor.

I get motion sickness, but have never had issues with TOT. I can't do things like Mission Space or the teacups, and I have to close my eyes for a good bit of Star Tours.

Agreed. I can't ride spinning rides or rides that have the swinging motion (meaning, I get sick on pirate ship, rotor type rides or the old orange level Mission Space) but ToT is fine. I don't particularly care for it, but it doesn't make me nauseous in any way.

I think with the up and down motion it doesn't trigger motion sickness like a roller coaster or spinning ride. I have vertigo issues and do fine with ToT.

You could always look into a motion sickness med to take before going. Check with your DR or pharmacist -- I use meclizine OTC for me and my son who easily gets car sick. They have non drowsy versions so you won't feel groggy.

I get VERY dizzy/nauseous on many rides, any with motion simulators/screens, spinning, etc. ToT does make me a little dizzy, but not quite as bad as many other rides. I can't even do the carousel, lol. I remember years ago doing the Body Wars ride and being sick the rest of the day. Lately I've been wearing one of those bracelets that are made for motion sickness and it's made me be able to get on many rides I couldn't do before, still can't do spinning rides or motion simulators, but I can finally do roller coasters which I couldn't do before, so maybe give them (the bracelets) a try too. I find that the motion sickness meds make me feel tired and out of it, so I stay away from them.

Space Mountain turned my stomach up side down.
Mission: Space (Mars) nearly allowed me to taste my breakfast for a second time.
But TOT didn't do a thing to me (rode twice in a row).

They have non drowsy versions so you won't feel groggy.

I would highly encourage anyone doing this to try it out at home first. I’ve used the non-drowsy Dramamine once and it knocked me out. For many people it’s fine and a huge help but for some it will still make you crazy tired and much worse than just skipping a ride. Don’t take it at a park for the first time. :)

Add me to the list of those who can't do spinning rides but CAN do ToT with no issue. Well, no issue except knee-knocking fear!
