DVC preview for TSL?

We went to the pandora preview last year. We got the email from dvc a couple months before the preview. We had to follow a link and select the time for the preview. You could only sign up the number of people on your reservation.

We are also ap holders and got a separate email from them about signing up for the ap preview. We only did the dvc preview.

The preview was great. Hardly anyone there, and we could ride pandora over and over with little wait.

We will be at Disney in May and hoping for a toy story preview!

Do you remember if the DVC preview required the reservation to be DVC or simply on-site? We have a reservation the weekend before the opening but we are staying at Art of Animation for a change of pace.

By all accounts, when the AP emails went out for Pandora, the availability went very quickly and many AP's didn't get a spot. I'm curious as to how long after you received your DVC preview email that you went and nabbed your spot? I'm hoping DVC preview reservations have a greater chance of success than AP preview as we will be onsite DVC June 14th - 22nd. My nephew will be getting the DVC preview email and he's not the best at keeping a close eye on his email or reacting with any serious emotion. Mr. Mellow will likely not even tell us he got the email even if he does read it.

OP here! Thanks everyone for the information As luck would have it we have another trip planned this year July 1-5th (at CCV, very excited to see the rooms) so we will be there for the chaos of a new land lol!

We will be there June 18-25. I am hoping that we are able to go to a preview.

Does anyone remember if the DVC previews for Pandora required an on-site DVC Reservation, or just an On-site reservation? We have a short weekend trip in June the weekend before it opens, but we are staying at Art of Animation.

I have the same question. We have a stay booked at Coronado for the first weekend in June. We are AP and DVC and wondering if we will be able to go to a DVC preview if it is the preview that happens during our visit.

So I was on the phone with member services today on another matter and I asked. The CM said in the past, it has only had to be an on site reservation. She did add it could be different this year if offered. She also said, when these things come out, they usually get no advance warning. They hear about it the same time we do.

Wow, I will be there 5/4 to 5/7 and until I saw this, was most happy about seeing, hearing Peter Noone in the Garden Rocks concert!:hippie:
We arrive on the Monday he is there and are looking forward to seeing him again. I think we've seen him at Garden Rocks two other times so far. As for Toystoryland, I fear we will be too early. But my son's best friend was a mechanical engineer for the project and I'll need to get in touch with her to find out anything. She hasn't told us anything at all (she said she'd have to kill us).

Thank you for asking! Fingers crossed for an AP or DVC preview the weekend we are there. Sounds like we may not know all that far in advance.

Member services told me on Friday that it was announced to open June 30th. I was inquiring about changing my reservation and she wanted to make sure she told me if that was important..

Same with us. We just purchased DVC in February. We already had a trip planned June 9th and are staying at Coronado. Our first trip using points is in November
