Hello all!!

I just recently had my 2nd interview through video yesterday. The internship is for this summer. I was just wondering if anyone knew how long I could expect it to last before I hear back?

Thanks!!

At this point, it's dependent on the team you interviewed with how long it takes to hear back. Some are very good about passing on decisions to HR immediately, but others might take longer as they wait for more candidates, or it just gets pushed back for other projects.

None of the teams I interviewed with had second interviews, but for the 3 that I did interview with the team for, it took 2 months, 1 week, and 2 days to hear back on their decisions

That's not much help, but I believe the summer positions start in June? My last minute role was interviewed/offered a month before the start, so I would expect most acceptances to go out by the end of the month

This internship starts in May so I am betting it won’t take 2 months lol I’m so nervous..

My first interview was the phone screen two weeks ago and then this. It has been no more than 2 weeks between each prior step (submit->phone screen->video interview) so hoping it won’t be much longer...

At least you've had an interview. My application for the general engineering PI has been under review since I applied in February. So far it looks like they've only gotten through contacting the people who are already cast members.

I'm hoping the process picks up in the next few weeks for the rest of us!

I'm waiting on a response from my application (under review) since mid February and the internship job posting has been closed. I'm guessing my application will be moved on to the next stage or dismissed, but I have been looking into housing in the studios area just in case. Does anybody have any experience living in the area?

Where is the internship you applied to? Mine would be in Orlando and I know a little bit about housing there from friends/family in the area.

They also can help you find a place once you get an offer, but it might be pricier than finding somewhere on your own. I know in Florida, they have a deal with some apartment complexes that keep space reserved for PI and CP, but they are pretty expensive to have to share a room and live with five other people.

Yes of course I’m glad to have the interview, but in a weird way it makes it worse. Now it’s so close to getting an offer than when/if I don’t it will hurt way more than just going straight to nlic... This one is odd timing too seeing as it is for this summer and was posted in February. So it’s also hard for me to gauge a timeline based on others’ timelines

Pay varies my DD roommates are paid anywhere between 11.95 to 24/ hour.

Hello all, I am highly interested in participating for the Disney College Program. I have wanted to be a part of DCP since I was in eighth grade. Right now I am looking for an amusement/theme park co-op for the Spring 2019 Semester. I attend the University of Cincinnati so co-ops and internships are included in my schooling. What are some tips for getting the first interview for an internship? Plus, what would some tips be for getting recognized by the DCP? When should I apply for a Spring 2019 internship?

Thanks,
Brett

As far as tips for getting noticed, a killer cover letter can definitely put you ahead. So many people apply to multiple jobs with the same cover letter but writing one specific to the position you want and why you would be a good fit seemed to help me. Good luck!
