Has anyone had a reception after hours in the Tower of Terror courtyard? It is my daughters favorite ride and I want to look into keeping it running during her reception. How does this work? How many times can we ride? I am so excited to plan this wedding, I can hardly stand it!!!!! Thanks for any and all information!!!

When you use TOT courtyard after hours, you can buy out the ride for $6,500 on top of the $2,000 venue rental fee and $1,500 food and beverage minimum. This allows you and your guests to ride it as many times as you want. Events must start 90 minutes after the park closes.

We actually almost switched our reception venue from Pixar Place to Tower of Terror this past Monday during our site visit/planning session. We LOVED the space during the day, but when we went back at night, the lighting is terrible and bringing in the necessary lights took it out of our budget. Just something to consider. And as a side note, I believe it costs more than what the previous poster mentioned based on our conversations with Disney and what we're paying for Pixar Place/Toy Story Mania. The venue fee may be closer to $2,500 now and the ride closer to around $8,000. We didn't get to the point of talking exact figures for ToT though.

You may want to double check, but these all have gone up. And you can't get in now until 2hours after the park closes.

I have confirmed that prices for the Courtyard are all the same, although the ride buyout has gone up $100 to $6,600.

However, they also now officially offer the terrace where we had our anniversary dinner again, and the price has gone WAY up. It's now divided into a Large Terrace (30-45 gusts max) and a Small Terrace (10-15 max). Both have the same $500 venue fee, but the food and beverage minimums are $4,500 for the Large Terrace and $1,500 for the Small Terrace.

None of the three locations can be booked more than 30 days out, and they all require special approval from park management.

Lurkyloo, can you provide pictures of the large terrace? My brother would be VERY interested in doing this!

Good to hear that Tower of Terror hasn't gone up that much! Just surprising to hear that ToT costs significantly less than Toy Story Mania to keep open. (TSM is $8,600.) We were quoted $3,500 as the venue fee for the Tower of Terror Courtyard, but now that I think back, it's because that's the venue fee for ANY ceremony location. We were told that ToT courtyard could not be confirmed for a ceremony until 3 months out because it's part of the larger Coast-to-Coast corporate event package.

Based on my fiance's and I's interaction with DFTW regarding the Tower of Terror, I would recommend speaking with them directly if you are interested to see what the rates are for the dates you're looking at. They were willing to put in our request and see what happens, so hopefully they'll be willing to do the same for you. We ultimately cancelled our request to have the reception at Tower of Terror, so I have no idea if they would be willing to book something further out because of the larger F&B minimums with a reception. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for all of the great information! Do you all know if we could do a dessert party on the terrace? Or does it have to be a dinner?? Thanks again!!

If you meet the minimums, you can have whatever kind of food you want. :thumbsup2

What was the lighting price for Tower of Terror reception? I have been looking and looking and can’t find a price for the lighting enhancement- I am expecting it to be pretty expensive- what was the quote you got?

This is from 2014 so I would expect all the pricing to be way more expensive than what is listed here.
