One time use points increased to $19

I think after our trip next May we will only use DVC for rooms. No parks unless my DD decides to take our grand children again.
We did a DVC-only trip in September and it was wonderful! There are more things to do outside the parks that we never had a chance to experience until now. :thumbsup2

This is why I highly doubt they will ever charge for FPs. Instead, we get addicted to using them, and by making it hard to get the good ones, it encourages people to visit the parks for longer. That's a much bigger profit than $10-$30 paid for fastpasses.
They are already selling them to Club Level, so I figure just give it time. Something will happen, how, not really sure just yet. But, something is coming.

Those are on top of the regular ones, and with a 3 day minimum stay in a club level room, so they already have those people right where they want them - spending $2,000+ just to get those extra few FPs

DLP has just gone to paid FP in addition to the normal free FP (still legacy paper ones there). Shanghai has been this way shortly after opening.
It's probably just a matter of when, not if.

A few of noteworthy things about it:
1. It's really pricy "That pass costs US$68-104 for one-time access on each ride, or US$138-174 for unlimited access."
2. It's only during lower traffic times
3. DLP is smaller than WDW, so people are less likely to visit for multiple days anyway

I could see Disney adding an extra fee FP somewhere as well, as long as it acts to boost their bottom line. If they were to charge either as much for one as they would for a night at one of their hotels, and they limited it to only one or two parks per day, I could see it working for them. I just don't see how it would help them to hand one out that allows people to visit more parks in less time though, it would be shooting their own profits in the foot.
