Disney announces new Ticket system for WDW

You need to look at the price for a single day MK ticket. If that goes up then you know there was a price increase built in to the new pricing scheme. To minimize any price increase you are going to want to minimize the number of Peak days in the usage period for your tickets.
For example: a 5 day ticket has an 8 day usage period (I think). If you have a start date on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday you will have 3 weekend days in the period which for much of the year are Peak days. Monday - Thursday (which are mostly regular with a some value mixed in) would only have 2 weekend days.
After this new system goes into place there will be no one day MK ticket. They will have a single day any park ticket.

Advice? We need 3 day Hopper for 3 adults 1 kid, midweek Jan (non holiday days). Should I buy tonight? I save $50 using ticketsatwork vs WDW official site, any problems using ticketsatwork? Thanks!

I completely waited too long. UT doesnt have anything bigger than a 2 day PH and boardwalk ticketing is off line for the ticketing update
:(

I don’t think chances are high things get cheaper tomorrow so might as well if you have the money do it now

I looks like they just released a new batch of tickets on Undercover Tourist.

Saw a report on another thread that it appears they (UT) were doing updates to the system (likely for tomorrow’s changes) and that is why tickets weren’t available for a while

I see that they are back on Undercover Tourist. It says eticket but then you have to give a name to pick the tickets up at Will Call. We won't be going until April. Will I get the eticket and then be able to link it to MDE? Will I still need to get a ticket at will call?

Annual Pass page still down, I am getting concerned we don't get reprieve till February. I saw very few $109 days on the calendar and those were in January. My guess is AP will also increase since it will cost more to go. Disney doesn't leave money on the table.

Very anxious to check AP Rates, had intention of upgrading during our October trip....Really HOPINGpixiedust: that the AP rates don't increase!

Looks like page is up, and I can’t believe it but looks like prices are... cheaper? At least for when we were planning to go in January for 4 days. Disney price is $2 cheaper than UT. Where before UT claimed it was $41 cheaper.

So per the other thread, and per @scrappinginontario:

Appears to follow 4 prices (my names, just getting info out): Basic $109, Value $114, Regular $122 and Peak $129 (before tax) for 1 day tickets

Per me: appears site is up and working, people are finding it easy to use, price increases aren’t nearly as bad as people feared and some people are even seeing prices cheaper for their trip than before

Color me shocked and gotta give credit where credit is due - not bad Disney, not bad

AP's and AP renewals are up $40/silver, $45/platinum, and Gold is up $20. Parking is up $3 to $25. I need to check blackouts though, I think they have expanded for next year. They don't have beyond September blackouts listed.

(Kind of important if you are interested in Star Wars)
