DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Yes. But I'm fat, not high. :sad2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Probably best that you don't buy anything from a 7-11 in the first place...

It's no Wawa, that's for sure.

(You never really get used to being endlessly hungry, but you can get to where you'll tolerate it.)

I haven't reached that point yet.

Well...that's something, I guess.

Haven't seen the remake (as I see no good reason for them to have done any of the remakes).

Same here. I find them all to be completely unnecessary. They got these right the first time!

To me, a remake should be saved for a good idea that was poorly executed the first time.

This was the line up at Timmies

Happy Johnny Paycheck Day @docsoliday1 !
Thanks Jeff!
Thought about putting that on a loop and turning my speakers up full blast. Nah, better to just slip off quietly into the sunset.

Happy Friday All.

Anyone called it yet?
That's it, I'm calling it. Not as if I'm really thinking about work much anyway.

Everbody meet at Jock Linsey's for Cool-headed Monkeys. Last one there has to go home with Belle and let me tell ya, you're gonna need some heavy duty clippers because she has her own hairy beast.

Top O the Mornin Dads! I see Doc called it so that gets me off the hook on that this week. For sure miss Dan around here. Have a good weekend guys.

On this day in 1955, “The Story of the Silly Symphony” aired on the Disneyland TV series, which took a look at some of the classic cartoon shorts with Walt Disney explaining how newly learned techniques were later used by his artists on animated features.

Nice one @docsoliday1 :D
Good to see our Friday tradition staying alive.

Anyone called it yet?
I miss Dan...
For sure miss Dan around here.
Some of you have asked about Dan before, and especially on a Friday. I reached out to Dan on FB. He says he is doing fine but just taking a bit of a break.
I think we are all justified to do that from time to time.
Hopefully he will be back with us to besmirch the reputation of a Disney femme fatale before long!

And I'm going to see Phil Collins play downtown tonight. The set list looks like a great selection from the various eras of his catalog.

Any other Phil fans here? Have any of you guys seen him on the Not Dead Yet Live tour?

Wow. They must be so proud.
We're #1!

:sad2:

Well, not much economic activity, industry, or jobs, so gotta make money and spend time doing something.

Sounds familiar. I get wicked chocolate cravings in the evenings (when my butt is parked on the couch watching TV of course).

Chocolate. Cookies. Cake. Ice cream. It's all good - that's the problem.

I miss Dan...

::yes::

Huh..I never knew this. You really do learn something new everyday.
Side note: There are no 7-11's east of Ontario based on their website store locator.

That makes it easier to win the title then.

They should open a Wawa in Wawa.

Well...that's something, I guess.

We're so proud!

Maybe if the Jets win the Stanley Cup some century we can switch our pride that way.

Not bad, Doc. Not bad. :)

Good to hear. Thanks for checking.

Never seen him, but I do like his music.

Our economy is doing okay. We're a pretty small city.
Which also means... not overly much to do... so we drink slurpees.

I reached out as well and he says all ok just taking a bit of break

Well, my oldest dd juat learned a lesson - teenagers are always right. She read her schedule wrong and is supposed to work tonight. Her boss called. But, she was supposed to have her clothes folded/ hung up before going out with her friends tonight as she blew it off yesterday. So, now she can't go out tonight after work with her friends until she comes home and finishes her clothes. My parenting style - natural and logical consequences.

Sadly, KY is one of those red (Republican) southern states. Which means outside of Louisville/ Lexington/ Cincinnati suburb, the median income is lower than the rest of the nation, majority of people are on welfare, and everyone votes republican to lower the benefits they receive. And my area is near as bad as Shawn's.

Alright boys. Only a half day for me today so I am outta here. Everyone enjoy your Firday and have a safe and fun weekend. I'm going home to watch the rain and wish I could be outside doing yard work and working in my shop.

Yeah, I planned to cut the grass today, but it rained.

True. I think I took a break for a year or two...

Then there was that Thanksgiving where the mods almost forced a few of us to take a permanent break...

They let you back in.

The Thread That Shall Not Be Named!

Except that you've named it by calling it that.

Good parenting. Keep it up.
