FP: Is it possible to obtain fastpasses further out than 60 days from the begining of a visit?

I have been checking fast pass availability on sites like tourplans. It appears that certain attractions (slinky dog) already have limited availability of FP not before afternoon on days beyond 60+ days away. Can someone explain this?

If you are staying onsite your fp window opens 60 days out but is for the entire length of your trip. So, someone who logs on at their 60 day window but has, say, an 8 day trip, will be booking fp's for all the days of their trip, which would start at 60 days out and go up to 60+7.

The Fastpass availability on touringplans isnt accurate. FP availability changes constantly so it can’t really get updated in their system. I wouldn’t recommend using it as an indicator.

People also can book their length of stay 60 days before check-in. So if someone had a 10-day stay, then can book the last day 70 days before that date. That is why some FPs are gone completely at 60 days.

There also is the paid club-level FP option. That lets people book up to 90 days in advance and pulls FPs out of the General “pot” of available FPs.

I was going to mention the 90 day option too. You must stay club level. It costs $50 per day/per person with a 3 day minimum.

You also have the option of booking a tour which would include FP+ lines. Early Morning Magic is another option.

Ok understood....more of an incentive by Disney to try to get people to stay on site for longer stays, or get more money from special tours or club level extra cost bookings, but a bit confusing when people think they can book things that they want and when they want 60 days out. Can't imagine limited availability at 30 days out.

Amazing over 2 months out from a visit unless you get lucky with a FP and something comes up, are willing to spend $50 extrapp/pd club level, or spend extra for special tour, or you are lucky early in AM standby, or are willing to waste hours on line for a several minute attraction you wont get a chance to go on an attraction.

And in the past, when FPs for certain rides were gone within an hour or two of parking opening, people cried for an easier way to ensure access to them. Double-edged sword. Everything is an opportunity cost that people have to weigh for themselves.

Honestly, even if everything you really want is gone at your 60 day mark don't give up hope. I have a short Dec trip, only 3 nights, and my AK day was 60+1. There was zero FoP availability when I logged on at 7am at my 60 day mark. I would refresh periodically every couple days, when I thought of it, and ended up getting FoP FPs for 3, for 9:30am, EXACTLY when I wanted them, about 35 days out. People are constantly changing their plans, and Disney will also occasionally release additional FPs it seems. You can even have luck day before and day of as people change their plans and cancel or move around their FPs.

This. I have gotten the big Fastpasses (FoP, FEA) the week of my trip. Don't give up hope!

And even if I didn't originally get FPs for the times I wanted I did eventually manage to get times (not the best) and then I managed to change the times to ones I wanted a few days before my trip. The same was true for my ADRs.

This too. For whatever reason it seems easier to change date/times of an existing reservation then to make a new one from scratch.
