MagicBands for Canadian Passholders staying offsite

We’re headed to Epcot straight from Port Canaveral tomorrow to activate our APs. I didn’t pre-order MagicBands and, being Canadian (during a postal labour disruption) getting them shipped to me in advance of our trip would have been challenging in any event.

I know MagicBands are included with the APs, but am I out of luck if I haven’t pre-ordered? I don’t need our names pre-printed on them; I’d just like to have and use them for the 3 weeks we’ll be spending at the parks without having to pay for them. Is there any way Disney would just let us pick them up for free at a park or Disney Springs and link them to our passes?

You aren't able to pre-order the AP MB's prior to activating them. They also will not ship MB's to Canada. I am not sure if there is any place you can go to get them while there. Last year, after activating the AP's, we had them shipped to our resort for our following trip (entered the resort address for shipping).

I purchased an AP on line last year.
My hotel was off-site.
The evening of my arrival I went to Guest Services at Disney Springs to activate the pass.
They gave me both a card and a Magic Band.

Awesome — thanks! Here’s hoping Guest Services at EPCOT (our first park) will similarly oblige us.

In July, when I activated my AP in Epcot, I was given a AP card but told I had to go to the AP centre in the MK to get my Magic Band. They are just the regular colours but they let you pick and then the CM added it to our MDE and we got our AP sliders at City Hall since they were out at the AP Centre. BTW...the AP centre is to the right of Hall of Presidents.

I don’t think you can order AP band ahead of time anymore, even if staying onsite. Last Sept we stayed at WL and I ordered both my resort MB and my AP band. I had put in my resort address for AP band. When we checked in only my resort MB was at the desk. CM went back again to look for my AP band and it wasn’t there. I was told if I wanted an AP band I had to go to MK to get it.
In the past we were able to pick up both MBs at the resort. I didn’t bother with AP band.

Go to the Passholders office in MK. Down that little road by Tiana’s meet & greet - Liberty Square. They’ll give you your passholder band there. No names but you can choose your colour. Just did this in Aug.

This was more or less my experience as well. I can't remember all the details now, but I recall that there was some reason to believe they actually had been delivered (I think it was an email notification after having already picked up our resort bands). We'd done a split stay, and I'd had the order sent to the second resort, SSR, because that was our longer stay. The first person I talked to at SSR clearly had no idea what I was talking about. She thought I meant the resort bands, and no amount of trying to explain the situation did any good. The second person was convinced the bands had been sent to Boardwalk (our first resort). The folks at Boardwalk tried hard to track them down, but didn't end up finding anything. I was given to believe that they might have had them, at one point, but that they had likely been sent back. Apparently they only hold them for a couple of days. So the timing is tricky.

Anyway, we didn't get them. And through all of that, nobody suggested that I could pick them up elsewhere. We didn't care about the bands anyway, but my kids wanted the sliders. This was in March.
