Any tips or tricks and where to good tasting water in the theme parks. I'm not a water snob or anything, but I can't stand the smell and taste of Orlando water. I don't even like fountain soda made with it.

In the past I have always just carried in a few bottles of spring water for the early part of the day and then buy bottled water in the parks.

I want to avoid brining bottles in next trip and avoid the cost of water in the park. I don't mind bringing a refillable bottle. But, any suggestions on where I can find at the very least filtered water to fill it up with?

I've always read that you can get filtered ice water from Starbucks locations. I have not tried this yet though, so cannot confirm.

All the water to drink in the parks is extra filtered. And it's all water from the municipal water supply. So if you don't like it, you're not going to like any of it. I am right there with you.

I buy a case or two (depending on length of stay and how many people will be drinking it) of spring water (not just Dasani or Aquafina, which is simply extra filtered water from the municipal water near the bottling plant, and given Orlando's size that's likely, yep, Orlando water), pack up my Igloo MaxCold cooler backpack, and make sure it's empty by the end of the day.

Even coffee sometimes is heinous in the parks b/c it's made with Orlando area water. It's why I generally get lattes at Disney, b/c there's so little water in a shot of espresso, and it's masked by the milk.

You can order any size cup ice water at Starbucks for free (I've never ONLY ordered water-- it's always been part of a coffee order). The AK Starbucks also had a water dispenser with small cups in October (with a sign asking you to only use their cups-- not your own bottles, etc.).

I’ve heard in fact that you can request ice water from any QS place

That would make sense that Starbucks may have better water than other places since I assume they can't have the taste of their products tainted with Orlando Swamp water.

I will have to look into the Brita filtered water bottles.....thanks for that suggestion too!

We used the Brita filter bottles on our last trip and they were great! Total worth it and saved lots of money not buying bottles in the park as well as space in the backpack not bringing some in. And we are complete water snobs so that should tell you that they work great.

My wife swears by Mio (orange), makes any water taste great. Not quite plain water but it definitely does away with any taste issues.

I’m with you! I hate the taste of Florida water. The best tip we ever got was to buy a Brita water bottle with a filter and refill throughout the day. We use to have cases of water delivered by with 5 people drinking 5+ bottles a day for a week it gets a little pricey plus, all those bottles!

We've had the filtered water bottle before and it works wonders are the terrible toot water, and I have to highly recommend NOT going to Casey's Corner for free water. It might be all in my head but I swear it tastes so terrible. I agree with everyone else, Starbucks is the best bet for decent water. Then I would say any other QS counter, then a rain puddle, and finally Casey's Corner lol. I also saw somebody say their spouse swears by Mio and we've done that, as well. It helps mask the nasty.
